Red Rocket Trader Stall ?!?!

Post » Thu Jan 21, 2016 12:31 am

This is something that's been going on for long time but I never made a topic about it, not sure why.....but anyway here's whats going on;

I set up a trade stall at Red Rocket Station settlement (near Sanctuary) but assigning settlers to it is not working.........when I assign it to a settler the game tells me its assigned but its basically not working, because the store is not generating income at all, the settlement has 19 settlers many of them just roam around as I don't have enough jobs for them all but its still not generating even a single cap........

And the settler that I assign store to, instead of moving to the stall that settler just gets jammed in the spot wherever he is standing, however when I initiate dialogue with him the game does give me the option to Barter with him but when I try to Barter with him, both my inventory and his inventory appear as blank, it feels like that may be the system is loading up the items but nothing happens even after several minutes and our inventories stay blank........

Has anyone had this issue with any of the stores in any settlement or does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you placed the stall close to another structure so that it's hard to get to? Try placing it out in the open and see what the settler does.

The blank barter inventories to me is usually a symptom of wrong train hours. The guy is already standing at the stall and the barter dialog goes through but the inventory stays blank. This for me is usually fixed by waiting an hour or two to be well within the shop open times. I would assume the same can hapen for other reasons when the game finds out in the middle of transaction that the trader is not eligible for some reason. About the location, specifically the weapon level 1 stall seems to cause the person assigned to it not go to the stall but act like a merchant from where ever they happen to be. I had that bug and read of it to be at least semi common. Which stand is it you have acting up?

Edit: yeah, pathing troubles can cause a wrong location too I guess. I have all my stalls on ground with space around them. I have had few occasions when the trader seems to have trouble getting to heir spot, but in those cases also the waiting or sleeping an hour has fixed it. It's like they teleport to the spots where they "should" be behind the scenes.
