The Maid walked over to Aethwine and asked what he needed.Aethwine broke into a large grin and told her (cannot say i dont want to get banned >.<) The maid's mouth poped open as she blushed. "Your scar makes you seem like you could do just that, but im still working, look around for me later ok?" Aethwine grinned and nodded, he rose and lifted the remainder of the ham off the plate, and returned his helmet to his head and headed for the door, his heavy platemail clinking with each step he shouldered past a few drunks and steped out into the cold night Aethwine took a deep breath of the chilly air and decided to walk to the docks,slipping his twin axes vearfjolder and Karond into his hands he strode to the waters edge his hair whipping about he spots a light rocking franticaly out at sea "What in the udderfryykt's [censored] is going on?" Aethwine set the leather loops attached from his axes around his wrists,letting Karond slip from his grasp Aethwine grabs the gilded horn from his side and sets it to his lips, taking in a deep breath and blowing the horn bellows out its bass tune.

Bullvine looks at the group, "Your right I dont think they are friendly at all, luckly my ship can break through the waves much faster!", bullvine barked orders at his rowers to give support, "Hurry you bunch of sea hags, get rowing, we dont want to see what those ships are doing here quiet yet", the ship was able to quickly turn around, as they made their way to the docks, "Luckly we did'nt get to far out, to see who they are!", bullvine yelled over the waves to the group, "Lets get back to the pub!", the shore came into view and suddenly the ship smashed into the bottom of the shore line, as bullvine hopped out of his ship, grabbing his gear, "Lets go, I'm going to the pub!"...

OOC: I can't figure out what word was censored there sparda?

IC: "Yes, I agree with Dhern, turn the ship around. My marine leader is probably look for me right about now if anyone at Dawnstar has spotted these approaching ships. Unless you think we can handle a whole fleet of mysterious ships we know nothing about." Falus yelled. When they approached the docks Bullvine noted that he was going back to the pub.
"You're going to go back and drink when a whole fleet of mysterious ships is nearing Dawnstar?" Falus asked.

Shinva held onto the mast sail post and chuckled as the water blasted over him, chuckling alittle "Well it seems we have more than what we can handle." he kept calm, trying not to lose his balance on the ship. Of course the Balance wasnt the issue it was the ships jerky movements that didnt allow for him to compensate. As the ship came into dock once again Shinva jumped out of the vessle and followed "Pub is not the best place to go. Instead one should go to the Military."

As the ship qucikly approached Aethwine put the horn back and took up a grip on the two axes, the deep bellow from the horn had guards and many norse appear on the docks when the captain of the guard asked what it is Aethwine points out to the noridc ship that is being followed by red sailed ships. The captian tells a younger trooper to go sound the alarm and call in the closest garrison and tells another to tell the towns people to arm themselves or barricade themselves. the two young nords grip their sword handles, nod then run off,thier chainmail clinking loudly. Aethwine gripped his axes till his knuckles shown white. "finaly, a fight."

Bullvine looked at the group, "The only way I'm fighting a huge invasion force, is with some good ol' alcohol!", bullvine rushes to the pub, and yells at the maid, "I need all the alcohol you can put into a large basket, then follow me!", bullvine started towards the counter and started grabbing mead and all sorts of alcohol, as the girl shocked started grabbing and putting it into a large basket...

Just then a young marine approached Falus.
"Our military leader requests your command." the messenger said.
"Are we going to set up fortifications? What's the plan?" Falus asked.
"Well, I think we are going to set up fortifications within the city to stop them from taking over the city. Not too far from where we are now, marines are gathering, armoring up, and getting ready for a seige." the messenger looked around at the others accompanying Falus and said: "Any of you are welcome to come too. I'm sure our leader wont mind if you're in the marines or not, as long as you're willing to help."

OOC: I'm getting off for the night also. I'll probably be on at about 11 or so this morning.

The Guard captain would watch the vessles warily. "Why are they moored?"

Aethwine shrugs, "I dont know maybe they are scared of our beards?" Aethwine would look back towards the city as militia and guards came to the docks for its defense, and farther back people darted between houses. Looters? Or cowards? Either is bad.

dhern gave a last glance out at the ships approaching with the fog thickening as they got closer. "you all head to the garrison and prepare yourselvs to fight, I'll meet up with you in a bit i have to grab some things." His left hand perched on his ebony sword as he gave a nod passinf by Bullvine. Soon soldiers were pouring out from the barracks to set up a defense and getting the civilians out of the city. That fleet could very well hold over five thousand enemies and the city could fall. Soon dhern arrived at his house pulling out his spare key and opening the door and hurrying to open the cupboard doors.

~~~
Meanwhile in Winterhold
The large force had broken through the gates pouring into the city like a horde of rats running through a sewer. Soldiers met them inside the walls keeping a defense tight while the settelers were making their escape from the city. The fog had cleared over the battle hardened city and soon the settelers were out. The defense began to slip, their numbers dwindeling slowly. They managed to push the attackers back to the gates. In the court hall the ruler of Winterhold counciled with an adviser.
"My lord we need to get you out of the city." The high elf adviser stated to the nord count. He was dressed in a stalhrim set of armor with a steel claymore at his back. He stood there the nnodded and motioned his hand for a yound Nord Messenger.
"Send word to Dawnstar and Heerfingar we are being invaded, if it is not already to late for the maswell!" The young man saluted then rushed out of the hall and the Count was met with boy guards to lead him safely out of the city.
Outside the hall the battle was turned agaisnt the nord defense again as More invaders arrived, thsi time in heavier armor and better weapons. Katana' and Armor that looked almost similar to the blades armor. The count had stepped out seeing the tides falling against the defense and ordered a retreat to the smal lvillage of amol. Soon horns sounded and the soldiers began to fall back out of the city. A mere six hundred troops had began in the defense, and only a handful of two fifty survived, most wounded.
~~~

Dawnstar

Frethral had appeared out of the royal hall with the captain of the guard and his war adviser. He turned his head to a soldier and began giving the first order. "Lad, I need you to go to the western part of the city and find Dhern. I need him with the defense." The young soldier nodded then took off.
"My lord, we have received word that Winterhold has fallen. The attackers seem to be in Akiviri equipment." frethral gave a grimm look to his commander.
"Akiviri? Thats impossible the yhave ceased trying to take Tamriel many era ago!" His eyes widened.
"Yes sir but this sword was recovered!" The commander raised a katana of wonder. The hilt being of some unknown metal and the blade made of pure silver. but the blade didn't grasp Frethrals attention, the insignia that was encrested into the blade near the handel sparked fear into his face. The old dragon symbol, that the empire had adopted off of the Akivir symbol. It was much like the one frethral had in his Hall locked away.
"Commander, We need to rally the men, get the moral up, they need to be on their toes and fighting their hardest if we are going to keep this city!"
"Yes sir!" The commander gave a salute then rushed into the crowded street." Frethral was soon escorted into his hall where he would hope the defense lasted the first wave of invasion.
-----------------------
Dhern had regrouped with the others, equiped in his armor which now carried little droplets of water as he walked threw the fog. Falus had gone off with his commander leaving Shinva and the others. He was about to approach when a young nord had gotten his attention. "Dher the Hearted?" He asked and dhern turned to face him.
"Aye?" He answered with a questionable tone. "Lord Frethral has asked me to take you to meet him." Dhern raised a brow the nlooked back and the young man urged him to follow. "please sir!" the young man began walkign back up the road followed by Dhern. Soon the yarrived at the royal hall and Dhern was greeted by salutes and then as he entered Frethral stared at him. "Dhern my friend! I'll save the greetings for another time right now We have a crisis on our doorstep!" Dhern nodded.
"I have seen the ships. I have just gotten back back from a rough sea trip that was ended short."
"So you have seen the sails?" Frethral asked with a curious tone. Dhern nodded and Frethral made a grim face. "Dhern I need you to to keep the defense in line. If it falls we loose the city. Winterhold has already fallen to a suprise attack and I won't be caught with my pants down!"
"I will do what I can in the name of Akatosh!"
"Very good, Right now the yare settign a base defence at the port gates. I don't expect for the line to hol at the gates, but make sure the invaders don't push them into the city."
"What if the city is overrun my lord?" Frethral paused in his pacing and turned his head to face Dhern.
"I dare not think of it now!" He gave a hoarse tone.
"Very well my lord I will see to it the Defense stays strong!" Fretrhal sunk into his throne and waved his hand and dhern left the hall, soon arrivign back at the port gates meeting with the defense which had formed a line of foot soldiers in front and few archers in the back.

Aethwine would nod to the nord who just made his way from the castle. Aethwine moved through the crowd to the new arrival. "Something tells me you have authority, do you know who these people are?" Aethwine would look to the ships. " I dont think we can hold out against them." he'd then look to the mass of people setting up a defense. " Are any of you people mages?"

OOC: Oh my.... two pages done in a few short hours.... *sigh*

IC:

Claude was taken by surprise as the group suddenly formed, and ran out of the pub, leaving the shocked Breton sitting at the bar quite alone. He considered running after the group, but as the thought crossed his mind, he quickly changed it, deciding to sip his wine some more and wait for his next move to present itself.

He waited in silence for quite a bit, his mind going rather blank from boredom and the lack of intelligent conversation around him. He nearly jumped as the door banged open, and the Nord who had led the group out before was back, looking slightly windswept, and most certainly panicked about something. Claude, never one to talk to Nords, rushed past the man, and through the door, stopping outside briefly to enact a very minor spell to keep the cold away. All around him the city was in an uproar, as people fled down the streets, all away from the docks, and Claude could make a guess at why.

He made his way towards the docks, and inched his way through soldiers to stand next to a pair of Nords. He heard a request for a mage, but Claude didn't answer it, knowing he would have to do some tedious task, or the Nords would ask him to do something he didn't want to do. He knew how to fight battles, and with ships, fire was the key element, as they were basically large candles waiting to go up. He prepared some spells in his head, waiting for the ships to draw closer, and to unleash a little bit of fury.

There was silence. Talking and yells of command could be heard from somewhere else in the city. Almost two hundred soldiers waited in silence, the only sound coming from the occasional clink of armor as a soldier moved. They were in formation and the fortifications had been set. They had set up multiple hidden trenches filled with spikes and other tedious traps. There were 40 or so archers in the rear of the formation waiting to fire if this army breached the gate defenses and came into firing range. Ahead of the archers were 150 or so soldiers, pikemen in the front who were waiting to charge an army, and regular infantry in the middle. Falus had been put with the archers this time as his commander knew he was excellent with the bow. There wasn't any calvary for some reason. Maybe they are saving the calvary for extra defenses. There Falus waited for almost half an hour, in almost complete silence.

OCC: SubaruBlue and Havok, you guys should'nt waist posts just talking to each other, thats what PM's are for. And when your posts are just talking to each other out of character, it takes away from the Rp posts. So I advise that when you post something out of character also include something your character is doing.

Bullvine and the woman finished gathering all the alcohol they could put into the basket, and headed to the city. The large ships had anchored out into the sea, while smaller boats made their way to the shore.

"We've got to warn everyone before they reach the shore!", bullvine grabbed the womans hand and quickly made their way to the city.

The wind was houling as bullvine and the woman reached the city. The whole city was in chaos, people were running around trying to get to safety, while militia men and Legionnaires rushed around trying to get everything ready for the battle.

Bullvine looked at the woman with a worried look, "Go find Dhern he'll know what to do with you, I've got to prepare!", bullvine and the woman parted ways as bullvine entered an empty house to get suited up. The large nord layed all of his gear onto a bed, that seemed to have been "used" alot. Bullvine grabbed his chain-mail placing it over his leather tunic. To any other race the chain-mail would have weighed them down considerably, but it was just right for bullvine. He put the rest of his armor on, and placed both swords on his waist and his spear in hand.

"This house looks nice, wonder if anyone forgot anything?", bullvine said to himself with a smirk. The nord looked around in the closet, he looked small basemant, he looked around the family room, nothing-nothing was there. As bullvine approached a door, he spotted something sparkle under the bed, "What do we have here?", bullvine walked over to the bed, and pulled the large object from under the bed. It was a double bladed iron battle axe. It was in perfect condition aswell, bullvine swung the axe seeing how it felt in his hands, "This will be a great weapon!", bullvine was quickly interupted by the sounds of even louder screams. Bullvine left the house to see what it was...

OOC:dude bretons are tiny mages remember? (they are based off of french people)

IC:Aethwine began to breath deeply and quicker feeling the berserker fury that the Einherjar trained him for he griped the axe handles till they creaked, suddenly he would bellow to the ships "Come on with it!"

15 more minutes passed... Falus began to worry. He hadn't heard any fighting coming from the dock but he still heard a lot of commotion off in the distance. There was still an uneasy silence however at the fortifications. Then a small breton messenger appeared. He approached one of the commanders.
"Sir, the ships still haven't docked yet but they are approaching steadily and firing at ships and the dock itself."
"How much time do you give it until they actually reach the docks messenger?" the commander said with a nervous tone.
"I don't know much about boats and the like, sir, but I would say another 10 minutes at the rate they been comin', sir."
The commander let out a sigh. "I have serious doubts the dock defenses will be able to hold them, from the tales and information I've gathered."

Aethwine laughed as the men around him flinched back when balista's from the enmy ships struck the harbor. The guard yelled for archers to ready. aim. then loose. the arrows flew through the air as it flew through the air into the enemy ships. A few mage's wove spells of shields which glowed a florescent purple that covered the militia from projectiles after the second volley was fired.

ooc: sorry was out working to cover a friends shift. Lets have a bit o' fun then :)

ic: Dhern had made his way through the crowd of soldiers coming to the front of the line where the captain sttod looking out at the docks. Dhern stood at his side stareing into the fog rolling in. "They will use the fog as cover. Try to cut us down before we start to fight." He said adjusting Curaiss. "The men need to keep their eyes peeled, and so do we" The captain nodded an soon turned to examine the defense. Dhern had turned back seeing his companions behind the line. He was suprised that the breton and the Khajiit were still here, and another nord stood out.
"Here they come!" The captain noted whatching the fog and seeing shadows of the boats that approached. Dhern faces the sea again and suprise took him when an arrows flew passed his ear hiting one of the soldiers behind him.

He looked behind the man at his knees and then drew his sword, followed shortly by the soldiers, taking out their axes, hammers, swords. He gazed into the mist that now became thick enough to be amost like a wall. Then a figure stood, dherns attention fixed on it, It wore light armor alost like Mithril, and the swords in his hands where like ebony scimitars, but skinnier and silver at the blade. Soon it stepped forward then closely behind was a ffensive wave. they came in slowly at first then when they got closer they started a quick charge, dhern held his sword tightly and one of the invaderrs had ran out infront of the wave and struck at him. Dhern raised his sheild repellign the attack and very soon the rest hit the defense.

Aethwine quickly grasped the horn at his side and lifted it to his mouth, blowing into it he boosted the moral of the men. Replacing the horn quickly he grasped his axes harder and bellowed rushing out at the on coming assailants, the pumped militia following him. As he closed in on the assailants he hefted his axe swinging it into the first figure to cross his path.

Shinva stood on the docks, staring out into the sea as the boats came. The ships launched Ballista rounds into the Docks and soon the invading army of Akaviri stepped onto the shore and began to attack. The volley of arrows struck into the walls of the dock. Watching them come charging Shinva drew his Katana taking a relaxed battle stance. As soon as they came into range Shinva parried the sword and slammed his blade into the males throat partially decapitating its head. Beginning a running assault into two more Shinva sheathed his sword quickly, catching ahold of one of their polearms a massive black staff with a large blade on the end similar to a Halberd. Kicking the soldier in the gut and disarming him Shinva smacked the blunt end of the weapon into the other soldiers face spinning it around quickly taking off the soldiers arm with the blade while shattering the neck of the other soldier.
