Redeeming third party codes

Post » Thu Feb 20, 2014 10:42 pm

If you've seen or heard about this before, please leave me your feedback

So I just purchased the Imperial Digital edition from Gamestop. First, to obtain the codes you have to download & install some gamestop software that seems unorthodox to say the least, anyhow it provides 2 codes.. one of them strictly says 5-day early access while the other is labeled as "Imperial Edition".

Of course in the hasty excitement I would redeem the 5-day early access code without reading.. anyhow it did redeem & I got an email confirmation with the standard version perks & bonuses, NONE of the $79.99 Imperial edition benefits.

After submitting two tickets and no phone call, I brought this here hoping I could get some light on subject. I have the Imperial code in my possession but it comes back as invalid when I try to redeem it.. pretty sure it's somehow tied to the other crap code I redeemed for the 5 day access and it marked them both as "used"?

Any help is very much appreciated guys, thanks.

Perhaps the Gamestop software was a download manager, kind of useful with a large game download, you probably would not need it after the game is installed.

As for the code issue, give the support folks time to get back to you, I don't think they are 24/7 yet other than during beta sessions. Also, you won't be downloading the game until close to the release date, so there is time to get this resolved.

In the meantime, I will bring this thread to the attention of the ZOS Team.

Also, did you open a ticket with Gamestop?

There's a bunch of us that ordered the game off of greenmangaming because they were giving 25% off codes when pre-orders were announced. We were giving a code and it as well only unlocked the "explorer pack" game, rather than the Imperial Edition. The staff there have been really nice about keeping us up to date with any information they get regarding this topic, but as far as they heard from Zen/Beth they will be given codes to send out to those who ordered the Imperial Edition when it gets closer to release date.

I would recommend you to check the forums over at Gamestop, they will likely have a thread already started with other people who encountered this and hopefully feedback from a staff member.

Best of luck Runik.

I have the game up to date, like i mentioned above I have this so called code Bethesda is suppose to give gamestop to ultimately give to me closer to launch.

It came with my $79.99 Imperial DIGITAL purchase, I used the 5-day access code instead of the Imperial code i received from gamestop in the initial code redemption.. do not know if that makes sense.

I have contacted support, currently awaiting a response. My account page displays under the billing info the last beta group i was in and a 5 day early access item under "product".. nothing regarding Imperial perks -_-.

I wouldn't worry to much about it at this point because they're bound to have some issues that need to be ironed out expressly with 3rd party digital retailers.

Just out of curiosity since you have two codes, One for the 5 day early access and one for the Imperial Edition have you tried Redeeming that 2nd code on your account page.
