Pelinal wasn't there. He isn't mentioned in any texts except for one thing MK wrote that even UESP says may not be canon because it isn't backed up in game with any references.
I'm aware, but we would have found at least one of their uber enchanted pieces of armor. (Although this is new lore, so that's probably the real reason why we dont find anything.)
Not yet anyway. But I kinda hope it never does. It seems like MK just tries to make their accomplishment seem less and less impressive. First it was Pelinal, then it was dragons, and now it's enchanted gear from a master (Although I don't think that was MK, but the first two are.)
Yngol? Yea, that's one. But thats not really uber, and other Nords could enchant too. This is really a silly point I made since the equipment doesn't reflect lore, so ignore it.
We know it is an exaggeration, since we have this journal: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Skorm_Snow-Strider%27s_Journal The war with the Snow Elves lasted into the 1st Era.
27th of Sun's Dusk 1E139 It sounds impossible, but we appeared to have stumbled upon a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Forelhost of the Dragon Cultists, who were believed to be wiped out during http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dragon_War. The Elves must wait, as this is a threat we cannot ignore. If we are quick, we may be able to catch them unaware and avoid a lengthy siege.
4th of Morning Star 1E140 We've brought down their main gate thanks to the young Voice master, but the brash lad took an arrow in the neck in the process. It seems he will be joining the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Eight_Divines in http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Sovngarde soon. The cultists have fallen back to the interior of the Monastery but soon enough we will breach those defenses. The sooner the better - it's too blasted cold on this mountain.
didn't think the Nords worshiped the eight until Alessia came about?
If I remember correctly, Yngol wouldn't have had any of that gear, as the enchanter who gave it to them gave it to them after they landed in Skyrim. Yngol died at sea, so he wouldn't have had the chance to get any of this special gear.
A single Deathlord can wipe out Windhelm. They are also equipped with Ebony weapons. The Draugrs that can shout were the Dragon Cult's version of your typical Nordic hero... undead.
You ignore one source from MK that contradicts your fantasy liking of the Nords.
But you faithfully accept MK's source on the Thalmor.
Sorry, but like all Nordic stories, they are BS. Not only did they have a master enchanter who devoted his life to making an enchantment that specifically killed Mer. They also had Pelinal the robot and a dozen dragons and Jills.
