Redguard standing with the Imperials?

How do the redguards feel towards the imperials and their army? Is there anything in the lore that would cause a Reguard to have any disdain towards the imperial army more so than the stormcloaks?

Ehm... yes? Handing their province over to the Dominion for example?

During the Great War against the Thalmor-led Aldmeri Dominion, Hammerfell fought with the rest of the Empire, and was invaded by the Thalmor forces. When the war ended, Emperor Titus Mede II ceded a portion of southern Hammerfell to the Dominion and outlawed worship of Talos throughout the Empire. The Redguards, outraged, continued to defy the White-Gold Concordat, forcing Titus Mede II to release Hammerfell as its own, independent state.

Thats what UESP said.

I don't believe the Imperials are on good terms with the Redguard.

There's a couple snippets here and there in some text of Alakir (sp) attacking Imperial soldiers and whatnot. They sound pissed and aggressive.

OTOH, I bet there's a whole subset of more compromising..less militant folks.. one of which I think is Saadia. Lets call her the Redguard Elisif. I think she might've been part of a group of nobles that tried to make some peace (or at least dealt more subtly) with the Thalmor and it blew up in their face. The Alikir in Skyrim call her a "betrayer", but that's too simple imo. No one is a traitor in such black and white terms. "Muhahhah.. yeah, let me turn over the city to the Thalmor. Muhaha." I bet she turned it over under a lot of duress. Look at the nasty scar on her face. She's a noblewoman. I doubt she got it hunting. She was probably tortured by someone. Maybe Thalmor. Who knows. All I think is that they probably had a similar situation as Skyrim, but in Hammerfell's case, the "Stormcloaks" (i.e. the Alikir) won, and now they're running amok, acting like asshats, enemies with anyone with the slightest chance of being in cahoots with the Thalmor.

I don't care what anyone says about that film, I love it. It has one of my favorite lines...

Fear profits a man nothing.

lol thanks. I'm usually a Saadia supporter myself, but one character-in-progress is a Redguard Stormcloak (only way I feel like a Stormcloak with a clear conscience is to not be a Nord, funnily).
