Power leveling != Exploit

There's been ways to power level most skills since at least Morrowind.

people need to realize there will always be exploits, and that they are only 'game-breaking' if you EXPLOIT them!

Then you exploit the game, level like hell, the game adjust it to your level, but your combat skills are ridiculous. Then you are screwed

OMG HaX0rs 11!11!!

You forgot the worst exploit of all, the tilda (~) key. I tested this personally !! eleventy eleven even!!!!11 Just by pressing that key a new screen comes down, oh and here is the thing, just typing a few special words can give you godlike abilities, max perks, slow time literally ANYTHING. Seriously this really works! Beth needs to remove this game breaking sploit immediately, this game just is unplayable with such abilities. How can anyone play this game correctly when literally everyone can just use the sekrit screen I discovered by following the instructions I listed above. A person can have anything they want in this game, this sploit removes all the risk vs reward effort and destroys game play. Beth remove this bug immediately! People just can't be trusted to not ruin their own game play, players must have strict guided and forced gaming experiences to properly enjoy this game as it was designed!!! eleventy eleven!11

I am withholding the words I discovered that can give a toon special game breaking abilities so as to prevent further sploiting of this game. I will release this information if this bug is not fixed ASAP.

Yours truly "a concern troll"

I dunno why people are still banging on about this as it's not new and every single one of these discussions merely repeats what was said in another thread. Yeah, it's all about willpower, just like it was all about willpower in Oblivion too.

If you think this game is bad, it's not a patch on Oblivion where you could make 1 second spells and spam each and every one of them until your fingers ached. Then there was the idle worshipers which allowed you to get each and every one of your combat skills up in no time at all, then you had the sneak exploit, the duping exploit for alchemy and so on. Don't like using exploits, then don't use them it's that simple.

None of the above got fixed, so i wouldn't hold your breath waiting for these exploits to get fixed. I'd rather they fixed the proper bugs rather than the stuff that are all down to whether or not the player decides to use them or not.

Please remove my nose as i can't help picking it.

Todd said it in all his interviews and demos. "You don't worry about what skills to pick. Just get out there and play and what you do will make you better in that skill. Just start playing."

I appreciate what you are saying about the exploits. And congratulations on figuring out all that stuff. But was it really that much fun for you? If so then you are playing the game the way you want to. Which is how Bethesda designed it.

The quest is complexity.

Skyrim is more of the same but simpler with better organization of elements.

The vote was....
should things be well-organized and a little simpler?
or should things be somewhat messy and complicated?
.....to me

I voted well-organized. At a certain point you realize that half the things you added to your game were just different ways of doing the same thing with no true difference between them. Things added onto a game need to have a significantly important function.

I do however feel that by being more flexible and getting rid of character classes, bethesda actually ended up hurting themselves because this took away my replay value. I have no need to start a new character when I can be a jack of all trades.

Classes meant nothing in Oblivion. I regularly meta-gamed my character leveling (in order to not get screwed by missing x5 stat bonuses) by picking a set of Major skills and then using completely different ones. You can easily ignore the "class" skills in Oblivion. And then there's the part where leveling an Oblivion skill to 100 will give you all it's Perks. Get all the skills to 100, and you have full power - all the perks for all the skills.

Skyrim, you can't do that. This means that under the new "classless" system, you can't gain as much power & skill as you could in Oblivion. How, exactly, is this less replay value?
(Example. I could take one of my melee characters in Oblivion and decide to switch to Mage. Level up the magic skills, put on mage equipment, and be a powerful mage. My high level melee Skyrim character? Doesn't have enough perks remaining at this point to become an effective mage. To play a mage, I'll need to make a new character.)

but than again this game wasn't catered to the true role playing fans. It was catered to the more casual gamer
