Redoran's Retreat Crash!?

Post » Sun Jan 05, 2014 4:33 am

Ive tried a bit of research but the only time this place seems to crash is when its already been completed and you enter it for a mission. I've just started the companions and obviously one of my first missions is to kill the leader of the current residents of RR. The loading screen pops up for about 2 seconds upon entering before Skyrim closes with no error window or warning. This common and fixable? Had no previous hiccups with the game besides the usual (been through this mission on other saves with no problems).

Go into Control Panel > Administrative tools > Event viewer. click on Windows Logs, and then Application. (and system as well). Find the time of the crash and there should be a log.

If there is no log related to the crash, disable your mod's, load your save but go far away from RR location but not to far. Wait 31 in-game days (with the "T" key), make a new manual save and exit your game.

Try to go on foot to the Redoran's Retreat and enter. What happen ????

If you don't crash, exit your game, enable your mod's again, load that last save, and do the same again. (going on foot and enter the RR).

Resolved, turned out after scanning for file verification or something via steam it found some missing files and installed them.

Thanks for the help though.
