Redoran′s Retreat

Post » Fri Aug 31, 2012 9:24 pm

Well Im a fan of House Redoran, and I found this dungeon in Skyrim. I find no clue if it is related someway to the Great House or if its just the name.
I tried to look for information but I found none.
So... it just bear the name or is a part of House Redoran′s last days?

seems like a common bandit lair coincidentally sharing redoran's name

while its possible remnants of the house took refuge there at some point i doubt its like that.

they'd be likely to have perished during the oblivion crisis when ald'ruhn was sacked or during the red year while they tried to rebuild their house.

simply running away doesn't really fit their ideals

That′s true. Perhaps is older? Because retreat may men a place of retirment. Perhaps a place for the dishonored Redoran? For the expelled ones.
Too much speculation for my part hehe.

It might be a reference to the various skirmishes that the lore alludes to happening between the Nords and Redoran Dunmer. Maybe the Redoran fought a fighting retreat there or something and it was impressive enough to earn the Nord's respect.

Or it was a reference to the Redoran house leaving after the Red Year.
