Female Dunmers are definitely just as tough as the males. I think every game establishes this to some degree.
Heavy Armor, Swords and Spears. (oops, wrong game)
The also are good at Smithing.
Bonemold Armor (if you have Dragonborn) would be the ideal choice to wear.
They follow the traditions and honor of the Dunmer warrior, and have respect for all other warriors, but magic has very little concern for them.
They also are very devoted to the Tribunal Temple.
House Redoran prizes the virtues of duty, gravity, and piety.
Duty is to one's own honor, and to one's family and clan.
Gravity is the essential seriousness of life. Life is hard, and events must be judged, endured, and reflected upon with due care and earnestness.
Piety is respect for the gods, and the virtues they represent
Great reply, thank you so much! Due to lots being smiths too, and wearing heavy armor, would it make sense to make the female as bulky as it allows on the weight slider to match some men's muscles?

A light, careless life is not worth living. "
House Redoran favors heavy armor, long blades, and shields. They also favor spears, but making them is apparently a lost art in Skyrim. Playing a Redoran, I'd shoot for heavy Chitin or Bonemold armor, or Ebony at high level. On the other hand, Redoran is a very military house, so I actually expect their forces to be properly balanced. I could easily see a Redoran scout decked out in light chitin armor* and carrying a single sword and a bow, but no shield for better mobility.
The patrons of the Dunmer are primarily Azura, Mephala and Boethia, with a strong sense of devotion the Azura. So that means that a proper Redoran warrior will be devout, honorable, thoughtful, and forward thinking, but also canny, cagey, secretive and ruthless. A very dangerous combination. Getting Azura's star is practically a must for a Redoran Dragonborn, even if you don't intend to use it. It would be a quest of faith. A joyous one.
Skills wise, aside from one-handed, [armor skill] and block, smiting is practically required. Redoran warriors have to know how to maintain their equipment. I'd also put in Speech, of all things. House Redoran prizes honor, duty, strict discipline, and above all, respect. Putting perks into speech would reflect a well spoken and respectful Noble Soldier of the great house Redoran.
*Morag Tong armor would fit in too, with it's well worn look. The white/gray/red/pink of chitn worn down to grays and brown through heavy use in the Ashlands makes sense.
For RP, always remember. The men and women of House Redoran are disciplined, powerful and capable professional soldiers above all else. They also have very little love for the Empire anymore. They may respect the discipline and prowess of the Legions, but those Legions still left Morrowind naked under the claws of the Daedra and Argonians, and House Redoran was the last, unbreaking line of defense of the Dunmer people.
Devotion to the Tribunal and your Ancestors. Devotion to honor (especially your sworn word, rarely given but always kept) and devotion duty. Duty above all unto death and beyond.
That is what it means to be a Redoran Soldier. Small wonder that they now lead the Dunmer people.
^This.
I let my Redoran character dabble in Alchemy and Restoration magic. Healing and Potions were often a service provided by priests in the Temple, and House Redorans piety rivaled Indoril in the Morrowind days, so there are likely many with dual-membership.
