[WIP] Redoran Vaults Expanded

Post » Mon Aug 01, 2011 4:47 am

So, I was raiding the Redoran Vaults yesterday, as I was like, WTF, THIS IS TOOOO EASY.

So, of course, being the nice person I am, I decided to make it a thief's worse nightmare.

And this begun my quest to turn the Redoran Vault of Vivec into a real vault, with traps, pitfalls, guards, tricks, and escape routes.

So far I have finished all the basic additions to the cell like expanding the rooms, adding on the new rooms, etc.
I have also finished a pitfall trap, and a blowdart trap.

Tell me what you think of my idea!

I worked on something similar a while back, only it was meant to be part of this huge effort on my part to make the game kind of "adapt" to the overall nature of my last evil wizard character. Didn't finish it. :P

Let's see how this pans out when paired up with the abilities/powers granted by my birthsign plug-ins...

Ha, I'm making it to where some parts will be easily passed by a wizard but not a thief or warrior, and some by a thief but not a wizard or a warrior, etc.
A warrior will have the toughest time though, as he's just on the [censored]list pretty much.
But, I think it's coming along nice.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the treasure is vamped up too :D

He wasn't overpowered at the time. There was a collection of items that he needed from the vaults of Vivec (all of them), and his reputation elsewhere in Tamriel greatly preceded his arrival in Morrowind, hence the added security (the Hlaalu Vault had 15 Ordinators in it, with better stats and weapons than the vanilla ones).

Only 15 with better stats? No traps? Bahhh.

I have a line-up of level 100 lock cell doors all with traps on them that the player has to go through to get to the bottom vault. =p
I'll be adding more traps for it, rest assured.

Thanks :D I hope everyone enjoys it. After I get this one done and see what everybody thinks of how I did it, I may do the other vaults too. I enjoy making these traps and things :D
