Reducing the noticeable little stutter coming from texture l

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 4:44 am

There is any way to do this?I'm currently using bomret detailed normals+rtnm +vibrant textures+qtp3 redimized+Open Better cities+Imperial City Realoded v2 and I get some stutter when entering Bravil and another city(leyawiin maybe). If I unpack the original texture and meshes .BSAs and overwrite the original meshes and textures with the modded ones, would I get less stutter?

Here are my pc specs:

Intel QuadCore Q6600 2,40Ghz
MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II 1GB DDR5
3GB RAM
Win 7 32bit(going to update to 64bit)
Playing at 1440x900(going to buy a new full hd monitor)

p.s. I'm not using any performance improved mod(NVSR,Streamline,Lowpolygrass) at the moment

No, you'd get worse performance. Use uncompressed, pyFFI'ed meshes in a BSA, and Oblivion Stutter Remover with the heap replacer active.

Also, using a solid state drive would improve texture loading stutter.

The use of high AA such as 32x or 16xEQ (I'm still learning how these new features work) could affect the texture load? I've eliminated the stutter coming from the high res texture load in crysis 2(blackfiremod+maldo hd textures)

Might reduce lag a bit, but not texture usage. Better Cities is a known FPS killer however, so bear that in mind.

Are you using Oblivion Stutter Remover? An auto-purge mod like Streamline can help also.

Will make another post with the results as soon as I try to play a little with Streamline and OSR
