the 20% nearly finished. a stone temple complete, use stock bloodmoon textures.

I finally desiced to add my retextured windows to this mod. the mesh are stock skal viliage window mesh. just change the glass's texture from snow-ice look to a gray-silver color texture to better fit a none-snow outdoor looking. the tavern's windows will glow.

complete removed the tavern mesh and replace with two skall style houses mesh[edited with nifscope], to better fit with other buildings.

now, the outdoor looking nearly finished, only about 10% left.
A playable demo will be released soon, it will only show the outdoor looking , so that you can see it, touch it, feeling it's true.

retexture the gatebuilding to better fit the others. before is a 2x size tavern mesh from stock mw. now it is the same mesh but with a yellow grass roof , stone wall, and the window also be retextured to a more red look. and i add glow map to it, it now looks very nice. yes, the gatebuilding's window will glow all time[both day and night time], because there should be always have guards. that 's fit the logic.

retexture a stock skyway mesh and add it to the tavern for better fit the other buildings. now it's with bloodmoon texture.

Now, the outdoor look are much fit each other, you willn't see a nonefit building.

I feel very boring on moding this mod. so I release what have done so far. maybe a month later i will pick it up.

Nice screens, like others said the red trees give an unique look. Where are you planning to position this town (once you finish it?), Solstheim or Vvardenfell? Or, as it is interior, will you have it "off the map" so that the PC would travel there with boat or other transport?

Hopefully you'll not give up on working it, take a bit of break and then continue with it. :thumbsup:

Yes, it's a nice town, very different than any other mod. have you download and see it ingame? I'm glad to see you like it.

once I finish it? I planed add not only one but two or three town/ruin/city/siege, each with unique look and use them to build a different domain--a new land. it's a huge work, and may be just a dream. so, i decide release something each time i complete some major things, that's the story about why release this demo. and yes, just like you said, i will make all this things off the map sothat the PC would travel there with boat or other transport such as a portar, or make it only active when player active a bed and press rest. i may pick it up later, but not too soon. currently , i'm thinking of if i should start to make the second town to see if i can catch a fancy with it. a dezert ruin with retextured ashlander camp to build a dezert look, or a seaside town with dock, or a stone siege in a deep green forest. or a morden look town...haven't decide.that's all in daydream stage.

one month passed and I'm back.

i start to make some indoor cell and link them to outdoor area. nothing excicting happened, i just copy the orgirinal game cell to make my new one. later i will add some detial and change some thing to make some unique look.

the good news are

i download some modderresource about new animation[you know, just the old things. the rx31's stuff, not some new one] and intend to use them in my mod.
2
some texture replacer mod have been released during this month. allmost all textures used in my mod are stock game texture, so it will benifit from them.

this mod allmost became a dead project, but now , it under develop again.

no screenshot this time. i will post some once i make enouth change.

this shot show my retextured windows, as you can see, it fit the envirment very well. and the near look about the tree. i make the texture transpart about 90% so that player can see more things behind the leaves. such as the bark. to me, it looks very better than before and i think it's very important.

this shot show the tavern. i retextured the common skyway mesh to better fit my town. it has wood roof and pertty wall , all use stock bloodmoon textures. and about what i said in my early post-----"add glow map to tavern window". i delete them, because it do not fit my taste well. i will make some new one later.

two shots taken from center area[guard center/ town hall area], the stairs looks good. i retextured it use stock bm textures also, so that if anyone release a buiding replace mod in furture it will benifit from it.

another things to say is about the wood fences. i use stock mw textures so that ,as you can see, it benifit from conarry's wood texture replace mod. very good look.

Nice to see this mod still moving along. Just from looking at the screenshots i can tell this mod has a ton of potential. Is there gonna be a player buyable/obtainable house? Because i think i'd like to live there. :bigsmile:

that's depend on how further i can go on modding this mod. i'm glad to see you like it and will release an alpha 2 version before i begain to make dailogles. at the mean time, i hope the indoor cells can be finished soon, so that i can start to add some npcs and make the pathgird.

about you want be a citizen, i have an idea several days ago. make player can choose from a menu about which actor he/she want to play: the tavern owner, the classic style[passanger] ,the captain of guards, the townrunner......and make them have meething each week about what happend[some randarm event], and make desicizen about some orders. and......a day dream......

If I think I know what you're talking about, he isn't using sprites for trees anymore, he's using my speedtree trees.

update

5 indoor cell added, by just copy some bm one. more than 20 indoor cells there. i do not want just make them by copy .i want each one unique . i looked some bm coloney house mesh, they are better but most of them are two floor. the one floor one are a cube shape. the other are not fit. i look the bm skaal village house meshes, not much pleased me. some of the indoor cell in skaal village do not match the outdoor mesh[a house with small outdoor mesh and larger indoor mesh]. i have no interest in making indoor view now and i want start to make dailoge and quest as soon as posssable.
because i have daydream about this mod each time after drunk.

so, if anymodder like take a sit in this mod, i welcome you. the most headache now is the indoor cells. so if you can make some for me, i will add a line about thank you in my readme.

any one want moding together with me ?

I liked the recent screens, good job and good to see you back with the project! Hopefully you find someone to help with the interiors so you can move onto the quests and dialogue. :)

Oh....yeah I hear about zealand (which I saw on his site) but I saw few people referring to him as she, like the guy that said she is making a drunk man into a bard or something like that.... g.a.y bard then I guess! :P
I guess that the thing is caused by his um.... a bit.. flauntingly, I may say, decorated site.. :frog:
But great moding talent he has!

It's good to know his gender. to me, it's meansless wether he is male or female. because i'm not a guy. about the "trasform", i said that just because i want make something "good to hear" if he is a female. and i don't think you should make apology about this sort of mistake. I guess.......the colony house meshes are good to make a tavern, so i pick up two of them . one for the drunkers and the other for tavern owner. each one have 2 floors. the drunker one have a sleep room at floor 2. a kitchen in floor1. there is not much space left. so...... there may be only 3 tables for drunkers. i put something to cover the stock door place and add new doors. so that it will fit the outdoor look. and about the skyway part link these 2 cells. i must ignore it. because it's meansless to make another single cell just for a simple short skyway. you can go to tavern owner cell after a click on the 2 floor in the drunker cell.
change something and add details in the tavern, i'm intend to retexture all the mesh to make a unique and warm feeling. before i'm intend to make a tavern which can have many drunkers. but now, there is not enough space. so it will not as excicting as the tavern in . yes, i play that game recently, very impresssive, the freedom is not better than tes[it only have 2 weapons, one steel one silver. forget the others, they are meansless]. but the quest much complex than tes, and the graphe , better than oblivion. eveything looks perfect. and about the loading time... yes, very impressive.^_^

and about i want add a fountain in front the temple. i have not decide whether add a fountain or just some crysit or just some tree and grass and flowers. i searched some real fountain by google , no interesting fountain looks suit my taste. most pertty fountain not only include moveing waters but also include some statues. so i have not decide it yeat.

i have some new ideas after drunk......make new bik video for this mod. i can use frap make some video ingame[allread tried]. then use radvideo convert them to bik format[haven't tried]., there is allready script function can make bik video played ingame. so this may be very "do-able".

It's not about church. I'm atheist (not under the influence of parents)so I don't go to church at all but still I had the need apologize for that might insult him....now when I talk about that, I apologize to you too as I thought you are a guy too....sorry for that :D well I guess this is common mistake here on net as we don't see each others so we are clueless who we are just by nick....


Anyway, I think I have few odd looking fountains so I'll check my model list and see what I have. And about statues on them, you can easily move them and replace them with others, and there is not moving water as static, only the real water moves :P but you can alway add some small waterfalls, right?

Yestoday i use nifscope to change the indoor tavern mesh to better suit what i want. i changed the stone look in 1floor to wood and add a roof to 2floor and move the doorframe part to 2floor and so on... i feel i should make a new mesh for the windows for this tavern. and during modify this mesh i have onother idea, the 2 floors coloney house mesh looks ok to fit Barabus's imperier house modderresource. if i'm intend to make onother town after finish this town , i would test with this idea.

about the fountain, I allmost give up and plan to made a small flower yard in that place. but just recently, i found one modderresource include a fountain, it seems ok. i will try it to see wether it looks ok ingame or not. as soon as this place done, i will make pathgrid for the outdoor cell.

the fountain done, here is a ingame screenshot. i retextured that mesh with stock bloodmoon texture and morrowind crystal texture. use nifscope lower one part of the mesh.

I made pathgrid for the outdoor view, it's done.

I place about 10 creature to test it, after some fix, now it looks perfect. no one try to do something wrong. and they walk every corner smoothly. I set their wander distance to 10000 then see they can go to temple, go to guard center, walk around the whole town. very nice.
