Eyebot, some mention to a BoS chapter having an intercene war, Fat man, Reavers, super mutant masters, are the obvious ones.

Only nearly everything you look at... :whistling:

Seriously though, at least one "non-generic" weapon, and at least one NPC, as well as a skill book, and some other stuff that others will undoubtedly report, at least that are direct references, as opposed to "lore" refs...

Okay, any lore references? Any that are directly related to the events that have taken place in DC?

Yeah, the Wasteland Survival Guide skill book that's already been mentioned. It means the Lone Wanderer did help Moira to write it.

The Wasteland Survival Guide.

WRONG! The Wasteland Survival Guide is a reference to a completely different game than Fallout 3. It is a refence to a game called Wasteland which was released long before Fallout. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Wasteland_(game) and http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Wasteland_Survival_Guide#Behind_the_scenes

How do you know they are the same WLSG? How do you know that it is a reference to Fallout 3 (besides FO3's Survival Guide was a reference to wasteland stil)? That's like saying the Leather Armor is a reference to Fallout 1 & 2's leather jackets when they were references to Mad Max. What I'm saying is is check your references ;).

Lets not forget the picture of James and Catherine in Vault 21.

@Shadow- Stop trying so hard to say nothing from F3 is on FNV, its a reference of a reference. End Discussion.

I was pointing out one reference that isn't technically a reference to FO3. ED-E is an obvious reference to Fallout 3. And you are correct about the picture with the LW's family.

What's in the FO3 manual? The cover being the Vault Dweller's Survival Guide? That's the name of almost every Fallout manual since the series started. I have a copy of the PDFs on my comp for FO 1, 2, and Tactics.

Powder Gangers reference to Jericho's smoking.

Ok they may just have used the same line to save resources, but it is one of the few lines ( if any ) to do so.

Yes. When talking to Veronica about the Brotherhood's policies, she mentions that one chapter had a civil war over a decision to help natives. This is a reference to the split between Lyons' Brotherhood and the Outcasts.

*edit

Also you can find 1-2 copies of the Wasteland Survival Guide.

Yea i think i ran into this the other night or some other reference about Jericho. Theres alot of references in FALLOUT NEW VEGAS to previous games and a whole lotta of other things. Captures a certain timeless mood i can finally enjoy thanks to the latest patch which got rid of the crashing. Just in time for the holidays.

Oh please. It's the exact same cover as the one you helped write in Fallout 3. Like someone said, it's a reference to a reference. I hardly see the issue with that.

In the tunnel under jacobstown you meet a ghoul that claims he's the Lone Wanderer's true father. He's wearing a black cape/rebreather head mask. He claims that the lone wanderer's real name is luke. Oh and Wild Wasteland trait must be taken.

I saw an interview with one of the developers of FONV and he said the Wasteland Survival Guide was from Fallout 3.

I believe it was in one of the Developer Dairies.

I could tell you the same thing.
Unless you count "Wikia" as a reference.
