Refusing to be a werewolf?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 8:03 am

Spoiler
So I am a member of the companions, and I'm also a vampire (they are a good source of blood). I figured hey, since I'm a member I may as well do the questline. However, they want me to be a werewolf, and they are waiting for me in the underforge with an option " let us know when you are ready". I know I can stay a companion w/out being a werewolf, but can I continue the quest line without becoming one? It doesn't seem like I can...

Spoiler man!

However you cannot, becoming a werewolf is a big part of the questline.

Spoiler
If you don't want to stay a werewolf, you can cure it after you finish the questline and it's not to hard

I wonder at what point something as common as this passes from the realm of 'spoilers' to 'common knowledge'? People play really fast and loose with the spoilers in Morrowind nowadays and I'd wager that at least 80% of the Skyrim forum community knows how, or at least who turns you into a Werewolf.

Just a musing, not saying that this guy shouldn't have been more careful.

I should've been more careful, but I was thinking along the same lines as you considering anything outside of the most basic sites (ex) Skyrim is a game made by Bethesda) mentions the
Spoiler
vampires and werewolves
.

I'm amazed I'm the first to not put it in spoiler tags.

Sorry, guys

I put it off for as long as possible
hoping they'll let me do some other main quests, but no
and besides,
Spoiler
you'll be able to cure it later on anyway. I don't know if you can be a vampire while being a werewolf, though

You can cure it later, however
Spoiler
I've seen reports of a bug that means you keep the 100% immunity to disease after you fix it meaning you can never be a vampire again.
Unsure if it happens every time though.
