Here's something I'd noticed, and I was wondering if anyone else had been experiencing this as well. It seems very, very rare to earn an assist with the L-Tag, K-Volt, or Gauss rifle. More often than not, when attacking an enemy with these weapons, and getting the on-screen indicator in the center of the screen that I've done damage, a teammate will finish off an enemy I'd fired upon and I'd receive no assist points. This seems most common with the L-Tag (I honestly don't know if I've ever received an assist with this weapon), but still occurs quite often when I'm using the K-Volt or Gauss rifle as well. I recognize with those latter two guns that I may mostly be doing damage to an enemy's energy levels, but in both of those cases it's often against armored opponents who are thus set up for a teammate to easily kill. It seems odd to me in those cases that the game doesn't reward the player with an assist. But I guess it's the lack of L-Tag assists that surprises me most.

Has anyone else had similar experiences when using these weapons? Or am I just not considered worthy of assist points these days? (That second question was rhetorical. We all know I'm not, but I'd like to have them anyway.)

I haven't unlocked either the L-Tag or the Gauss myself but the K-Volt does damage while depleting the enemy's energy at the same time. It should give you assists for that, definitely.

I haven't noticed this but I'll make sure to make a conscientious effort to check it out for myself.

I've never had a K-Volt assist, and I think someone confimed it was a bug. Likewise it's extremely difficult to get an assist with melee too, despite the first hit always reducing someone to red health.

It's a shame too that the K-Volt, L-Tag and Gauss have assist issues, as all 3 are mainly support weapons.
