So at the Medic Facility west-bound of the Village in the south, is an Auto-Doc. I was exploring around it and behind it is Christine's Recon Armor and a Stealth Boy. Now as you've seen if you've gone in there, there is a force field leading to another room. I haven't found a switch or terminal for it but I've beaten the main story line and got Gabe's bowl in the Village. So I'll provide more info on finding Christine and that whole mysterious area. So if anyone could help me, how could I upgrade the Sonic Emmiter to disable the force fields? Lol sorry for sounding [censored] but I'm here to solve this thing.

there is a quest to upgrade the sonic gun. it takes you to x-8. just do that quest.
