Regarding Our Woes

Post » Sun May 08, 2011 2:29 am

The way I see it is that people have four main issues with the retail version of Crysis 2: DX11 support, Mod Support, Sandbox 3, and general bugs. Let's address each item individually...

Direct X 11 Support: Unfortunately, I do not know much about this topic. However, it is my understanding that people wish for the game to achieve a graphical standard which it is most likely capable of doing. It is not fair for anyone to insult Crytek about not including this initially because it is readily apparent that they put their blood sweat and tears into this game. [FRAGMENT...if you wish to further inform me on this topic please do so]

Mod Support: Crysis 1... Enough said... But Crytek, if you really think mod support is not necessary, at least unlock the console so that we can play the game in a manner that we could explore all possibilities of the game itself.

Sandbox 3: I understand that Crytek is hard at work improving and refining Sandbox 3... However, I believe that a version of the Sandbox 3, no matter how rudimentary, should have been included with the retail release in order for it to stand up to par with certain aspects of Crysis 1.

General Bugs: All games have them... There is no need to whine about them... Crytek is working on fixing the major bugs shown to them which is apparent in patches 1.1 and 1.2.

*SOLUTION*
Crytek, all you need to do is release an official statement that is easily accessed by the majority of your player base. Whether or not your decisions on these matters appeal to the community, the discussion spawned will be much more constructive than the speculation spawned from being ill informed.

Simply Put...
The speculation and non-constructive insults directed towards Crytek need to stop. The only effective way of doing this is to have an official statement released relating to the highly controversial subjects listed above. Please everyone, rather than slandering their game, let them know that you want to be informed on their plans for the future.

Information, whether pleasing or displeasing, is better than no information at all.

Poll removed.

Feel free to discuss but putting up polls on whether you want something for nothing or not makes no sense. For the announcements it's the same as usual, when there is some information we can share with you we absolutely will do so, as soon as possible.
