RegArding the 360 latest patch : Fallout: New Vegas

Well I'm sure if this patch was for Gears of War or Halo franchise it would have been uploaded ASAP. I don't know why Xbox Live is dragging their feet on this. Maybe this patch of a patch still has issues, oh wait a minute they don't test it anyways.

I wish they wouldn't use the word "soon" any more. Maybe words like; hours, days, weeks, months, the future, sometime but not right now, when we get to it.

Soon sounds like it will happen, well soon, like in the next hour at the most.

Yeah it's bad timing, especially here in the UK where it's an extra long bank holiday weekend. And some of us have got a certain wedding they want to ignore...

Here's what I got for ya

Updated news on the Xbox 360 update for New Vegas.

The update for English versions of the game should be going live later tonight. Exact time is TBA, but it'll probably be later in the night. For folks playing the game in other languages, the wait is going to be a little longer. When I have a better estimate of what that will be, I'll let you know.

For now, if your game save is working properly after getting the "missing content" notice, here's what we suggest. Load your game save after getting the message about missing content. Once you're in the game, make a new game save, and moving forward you shouldn't have any issues. Once the new title update is up, you can then go back to your older save files.

If your game is crashing after loading the "missing content" save, you'll want to wait until this new update goes live.

Again, I'll provide new details as I get them. Thanks for your patience.

Okay, seriously Bethesda?! You've managed to create one of the best games of 2010 and release full of bugs, but still, it was great. And now you released a patch to do God knows what that makes it to where I can't even load my game?? Please fix this. I had so much faith in you... :/

Well apparantly the final fix will be available for english versions tonight and for others soon. All I want is to finally go back to my Armored Vault Suit set up now that That Gun and Grenades have been beefed up!

well, I wasn't waiting anymore. I went into my memory, looked up games, new las vegas. One of the listed files besides the saves is Patch 3 for 8 meg. I deleted it, reloaded new las vegas and i could contiune playing my saved characters after saying no to download the patch again.

Shouldn't be too much longer to see some progress. Worth remembering that there's bethesda, obsidian, microsoft all involved in this process, (and ultimately the people there controlling purse strings- it's not the fault of devs ;P ) can't be fixed straight off, and with systems as complicated as those used for a game like this (especially cross platform) there'll always be mistakes.... still though BOO for not having a process in place to check these things before they go live (BOOOOOoooooooo), or explaining what went wrong to appease the masses

On another note, playing offline I finished the Dead Money DLC and thought it was great, one of the best bits of dlc I've come across !

XBL doesn't work like that. It's not a PC. You don't have to have previous patches installed. Since every game can only have the most current/up to date patch available for download, they have to make sure that the patch available covers all the changes made by the previous patches. So if you never downloaded any of the patches, you're fine when they re-upload the newest patch.

The new patch will just overlap the bugged one and they'll both be installed. Same thing that happens if you stop playing for a year + and stop updating the game.
