Regional pricing

My friends and I were having a hard time deciding whether we were going to buy ESO upon release. From playing the beta sessions, I found the game to be okay, but not great.

However the questionable decision of the publisher to attempt to extort more money from Australians by using a regional pricing model made the choice a lot easier.

Not all publishers use regional pricing. It is not necessary for the financial success of your game.

It's pure greed.

Yeah regional pricing can be a [censored] sometimes, thank the internet for third party online retailers!

GOG recently got a huge backlash when they added regional pricing and had to greatly sweeten the deal just so people wouldn't leave in droves. Course, it didn't help them any that they'd previously released several videos gloating about how awesome they were for not having it. :D

Is it the companies and stores that are greedy, or is it the ones that do not want to part from their money ^^
