Rehash the entire franchise?

I was thinking about it. I thought to myself. Why dont they push the restart button on the entire Fallout franchise. To me it seems that every Fallout game is digging a deeper hole into confusion on backlaying assumptions of what is really going on. What if it were to beceome a movie......it would definately svck because there is no consistent backstory with any of the games. The first Fallout game is my favorite because it was a well-thought out game. I think it would have been intresting to take some elements from Fallout 2 and just put them in the first. For instance, Enclave, Talking Deathclaws, Rebel Mutants. Just putting new and random things just for the sake of having somthing new just makes me uneasy to accept. So, i say that if a new Fallout game were to come around. Take all the good elements of the past Fallout, (only the the good) and rehash it into one huge kickass rpg. Fallout tactic has some great art concepts but i dont like the thought of it being canon. Through in good voice character with character depth. Because honestly i enjoy Fallout 3. It only bugs me that it doesnt feel like accomplish for the entire franchise as a whole. I even think i could have made a better plot, character depth, story, music, and atmosphere than they did. The game needs to incorporate art for the Fallout lore. Anyone agree a little bit?

Another thing i wanted to ask. Who writes the Fallout timeline? . Chris Avellone? When the first Fallout game was created was there even a single thought that there might be a continuation of the story? Because after Fallout 1 its seems like game developers just gave up on it. Betheseda is a fine example of giving up on the lore and showing us they dont really care anymore. Guess they were confused too.

I always wanted to know what came first, the chicken or the egg.

i do like it, i dont like the way the Fallout Universe keeps on being implented for a mediocre story. What i like most about Fallout is the unique sci-fi retro style universe. Although to make it more real they need reasonable explainations for any events or occurences in the game, hence why it is a SCI-FI game.

Reset buttons are really only useful if you've dug into a plot hole with your regular characters. Since fallout doesnt really have any regular characters, and only one regular organisation (enclave) is in a hole, I dont think its required. I think there is plenty of room for expansion without a reset.

Brotherhood,

Not in a plot hole or dead end
Vault Dwellers,

Not a single group, and not in a hole or dead end
Ghouls,

see above
and Deathclaw??????

Since all inteligent deathclaw were made extinct during fallout 2, I'll give partial marks. However, the inteligent deathclaw werent exactly movers and shakers. As for the unintelligent deathclaw, they're just mobs, they have no poticical motivations beside immediate feeding and mating.

Wait, what massive differences are there in lore from FO1+2 -> FO3? The only one I noticed was turning the Brotherhood of Steel into a big bunch of pansies, but them being a different detachment is an acceptable enough explanation.

Actually 2 intelligent Deathclaws escape on the west coast. And actually there is a way to save them from becoming extinct in fallout 2.
But who is to say that the Enclave base in Navarro was the ONLY enclave base experimenting with FEV on Deathclaws? You have no clue how many actual Enclave bases there are in North America. To say that Navarro was the only mainland base the Enclave had has been proven false with Fallout 3.

I'm going by the fallout bibles "If its an animal, and it talks, you can assume its dead at the end of fallout 2" - Chris Avalone.
