This is the thread for the release of my new textures for Better Bodies. These textures were created using photo sources and are somewhat large being 1024x1024.

For now I only have the females done but am looking for suitable images to create the male textures.

Alright this will be the final release for the females (I think.) I will be working on the male's soon and then I will make the "final" release of all the new textures.

Well I did mention I will probably be changing the underwear in the next version. It bothers me that they dont look like they do on the texture map...... I will try to make something that doesn't stretch so much. Perhaps I will make something different for each race but that could take alot more work then I feel like doing, we will see.

What's the species on the left of the first pic? Is it Redguard? The game seriously doesn't have enough Redguard... You never see much of 'em.

Yes that is Redguard.




I will probably change them before I release the full version. They will prpbably be a bit Fanciful aswell but hopefully they will fit on the model better.

Are you able to give different underwears to different races, or is it always the same?

Each race has its own texture so I can give each race their own underwear if I want. I am not sure if i will make new ones for each race but its a possibility.

It isn't what I'd call hairy (I'm busy fixing that situation ) , but it has more hair than the first screenshots.

Looks great. I have a suggestion, I think the dunmer could do with a little more colour, especially the nipbles, as well as a little fixing of the fingernails so they're not too blue.

About the pubic hair, I always thought it was kinda universally accepted in the fantasy world that elves don't have any body hair.

I don't remember where I heard it, but that's what I've always thought. :shrug:

I agree aswell. It doesnt bother me that they have pubic hair I just thought that they didnt.

I don't exactly know what the peanut version is but it does have a bit of hair as Pseron says.




Well I am going to work on the male texture before I start with anything else so you might be waiting a while.




Hmm I will see what i can do about adding a bit of color and fixing elvish pubic region before the final release.

that made me laugh

Just took a look at a couple of these in nifskope..really nice work..I especially like how well you've softened the seams on the inner thighs/legs and along the insides of the arms that some other skins have left. Couple things I noticed though. There's a fairly "hard" line running along the contour just below each briast that looks a bit off. Was this done on purpose? Perhaps it's just a matter of aesthetic taste whether it should be there or not. In a way it's too bad that the BB meshers didn't create just a hint of sag there as it would look more realistic..plus would cover a spot that is quite hard to texture properly due to pixel smearing in some places.

There's also a fairly visible horizontal line on the side of each leg..just below the knees. And there are several quite visible seams on the feet (which is likely quite a difficult place to get all those blended together).

I haven't gotten a chance to see anything in-game yet..it may be less visible in that lighting thus not really an issue..thought I'd mention my observations though.

Minor things though..this must have been a lot of work to do and it's a very nice variant which will add a lot of enjoyment to many people's games. Thanks for the release :foodndrink:

edit..just noticed 1 other thing...on the inside of the leg..along the calves (not the upper legs\thighs) we also have a slightly visible seam. That one looks almost like a muscle ripple though and may not be very noticeable in-game. Sometimes we can get nice results by working with a difficult spot in the mesh rather than fighting against it

Well I finally got around to checking out the new textures and they are awesome, although I have to agree with Vitality about the pubic hair. But still one outstanding piece of work! :goodjob: :bowdown:
