I'm missing the Lady E textures as well. They don't appear to have been extracted from the PES download (That's to say, I can't find the file names for the missing textures in the textures folder after doing a manual extraction/copy from the unzipped download). I've downloaded the mod twice, and did a manual extraction/copy on the second download. No dice. /sigh

Ok, I've gone back and repackaged all the datafiles from my archive and reuploaded, on the offchance that the file itself was corrupt.

It's very odd that this should only affect Lady E's files. It just occurs to me that maybe something about those in particular is interacting with the 7z compression format and causing problems on extraction on some systems...? I have no idea. IF THIS IS THE CASE, I've uploaded the entire folder in zip format on Megaupload. It's about twice as big, because zip isn't as efficient as 7z.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2HSYIF75

If this doesn't fix it, I may need to look into exorcism.

If you use a packaging tool, it often skips textures that are packed into subfolders - which off the top of my head I think Lady E's are.

I was able to get the missing textures from your re-upload to PES. Thank you!

I am so looking forward to spending some time with this mod. I love playing the hide-in-shadows sneaky types (with a fondness for ranged weapons), and this will add a lot to my current game.

Offhand, would this also conflict with the earlier versions of Morrowind Comes Alive, such as 4.1? I'm going to try this mod in my next game, since it's a bit late to change things around in the current one, and the present character isn't really suited for thieving anyway. If it conflicts with MCA 4.1, I'll just have to do the next game without MCA.

Amazing! This is one of the most perfect additions to the game, it fits right in with the feel of Morrowind. Please make other mods like this! Maybe other guilds too!

No reason to skip MCA - just use TESAME to delete its change to that cell. Or open up both mods together in the CS, rearrange the MCA NPCs so they're not standing on tables or whatever, and save. Or, even if you don't want to bother with that, I can't imagine that MCA does anything worse than place an NPC in a slightly incongruous spot.

Thanks v much! I want to, it just takes a looong time.

I love the premise of this mod, and you put it together very well indeed. Thanks for sharing! :goodjob:

What about some of the other thieves dens? I would particularly like to see Dirty Muriel's revamped into such a place. :hehe:

Thanks much. :) Yeah, Dirty Muriel's needs a revamp badly. All the Thieves Guild hideouts are pretty dismal. Hint hint to other modders out there - we need more mods that flesh out the dull parts of the game!

I love your work, btw. Wish I could script like that.

Checked it out last night. Absolutely brilliant! I loved the atmosphere. I have noted a couple of issues, which may be problems on my end, due to mods, etc. I'll try to test it out on a vanilla setup. One issue was a piece of the old bar sitting the middle of the floor, another was a bottle in the air where the bar used to be. One NPC standing on the stage, in the way, and I had to remove the orc from 'The Regulars'. Also, I am not using Better Bodies, so the dancers were less than attractive w/o clothes on. I can live with that, or give them some dancing clothes, but for some reason they were all missing their left knees. o_O

I thought the sudden change at 7pm was a little jarring, but I can understand if that is unavoidable. Not sure if that can be adjusted or not. Finally, this does the same thing that The Regulars does with the bards, and it jacks up my audio volume for music, and i have to manually turn it back down when I leave. Is that fixable?

All in all,

I'd love to see these types of changes to other places. This is what I want MCA to do for me... liven up the towns and bars, not kill me when I step out of chargen. But that's a topic for another discussion.

Thanks, Bal!

The Morrowind Code Patch can fix the audio volume resetting issue.

Really? Hmm... I'm pretty sure I installed that. Would it need to be installed after any mods that would be affected? Or just change the load order to load after?

I think you're confusing the Morrowind Code Patch with the Morrowind Patch Project. The Morrowind Patch Project is an .esm file which fixes all sorts of bugs through the Construction Set. The Morrowind Code Patch fixes other things that can't be done in the CS by altering the Morrowind.exe. It doesn't have an .esp or .esm.

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, the bar sitting in the middle of the floor and the floating bottle are coming from somewhere else, as is the NPC on the stage (probably MCA, the patch I included should fix that). The reason your music is turning itself up is because the StreamMusic command is bugged in native, but the Morrowind Code Patch fixes this (I believe I link to it in the Readme). The dancers aren't naked - they have bikinis courtesy of Dereko777, but you need Better Bodies for them to work correctly, which is why they're missing knees in your game.

Yeah, I figured not using better Bodies was the problem with the dancers. Might have to find appropriate garb for them to wear (ala Slave Leia). As for MCA... I'm actually not using it! I don't think I've installed anything else that adds NPCs, but I'll have to dig around to be sure. I have a Morrowind Patch installed, but not sure which one. I'll check into that as well.

Why would you not use BB? Just wondering.

I had used it for awhile, but something about it bugged me. Decided it was the effeminate forms of the males. They looked to smooth-skinned and not "hardened" enough. Same for the women. Although it certainly had its advantages there! Still, I liked the textures of the original models with their sharp contrasts and details. Problem is really more with the textures I guess.

Fit Body Textures overwrites the female textures with slightly more "muscular" and defined ones. There's an even higher-res version out with a different name, if you need it.

May I ask why you didn't upload screenshots to the Planet Elder Scrolls page? I'm sure other people would love to see what a fine-looking mod this is. :)

I couldn't figure out how to upload more than one at once. And I sort of hate the screenshots; I only posted them here because I had to. I'm pleased that you think it's fine looking; your Balmora Ghetto mod was a big inspiration.

Glen, I would appreciate it if you could put spoiler tags on things like that. :)

But
Spoiler
no, it changes slightly later on depending on if you do a quest a certain way, but it's mostly for atmosphere. And, of course the cave has an entrance to another area.

His quest line and the quest line for the dancer Liette are interwoven, so if one of them has nothing to say, check out the other.

Oh, foolish me. Added 60+ mods and told myself I was going to play an entire game before I added any more. But noooooo, I just had to visit the forum before work today. Now in the middle of everything esle I have to get side tracked by the Thieves Guild. I don't know what I'm in for but this mod looks so good I just can't resist. Excellent job man! :foodndrink:
