Relation between the Lorkhan and Divines?

Post » Tue Oct 18, 2011 5:42 pm

Lately I began wondering how good/bad the relation is between Lorkhan and the Divines.
You would say it's not so good considering the whole "killing Lorkhan and shooting his heart to Morrowind" and such but when I was playing Knights of the Nine I began to wonder.

Since the Divine Crusader is often referred to as the shezzarine here but still becomes the champion of the Nine, blessed with their armor. Also I thought that both Lorkhan and Akatosh would have blessed the Empire of the Imperials. (don't even know if the last one is true)
So if a smart Lorebuff could explain it a bit.. Please do! :D

The religion of Alessia's empire was a compromise between the Merrish and Nordic pantheons.

Mortals deciding there was a middle ground between the beliefs of Man and Mer for pragmatic political reasons.

It is a mythopoeic cosmos and the way I understand it, this compromise led to Akatosh and Lorkhan cooperating to preserve the empire.

I still can't tell if it was Akatosh or Lorkhan beside Saint Alessia's deathbed

Nobody can, and that's the point.
