Relation between Ysgramor and Tsun?

So I was walking around Ysgramor's burial chamber and I noticed for the first time http://i1165.photobucket.com/albums/q598/tpl636/Fox.jpg behind Ysgramor's actual sarcophagus showing the standard whale priest.

Then Vilkas walked in and said something about staying for a while to look at the carvings, and that got me curious so I started slowly looking around the chamber walls. I noticed four more carvings representing the whale along the four corners of the depression where the blue fire burns at the center.

I was immediately curious to about the relation between them, and upon closer inspection of the whale carving (in the photo linked above, the top part) I saw that to the left of the whale there was a rather simplified representation of a man on a boat.

So I ask you: what special relation does Ysgramor have with Tsun... or with whales? Is that man on the boat supposed to represent Ysgramor?

I note that Tsun guards the enterance of Sovngarde, and Ysgramor is the first to greet you once you enter.

The man on the boat appears to have a harpoon in his hand, and the priest is holding one in each hand. I am reminded of Moby dike. Sadly I don't know enough about whales and their relationship to the Nord pantheon in order to actually answer the question, but it appears to me that the whale and the boat-man are opposed to one another.

There is a little black cross looking thing on the whale that kind of looks like a wound or something, or am I seeing things?

TBH, the guy on the boat with the spear seems like it was done by a completely different artist, It almost looks like a child's graffiti or something compared to the detail put into the rest of the mural.

I never noticed the dog in the mural either, until now.

Since the harpoon the figure on the boat is holding doesn't look at all like the ones the priest is holding, could it be that it's not a harpoon at all, but an arrow pointing to the whale?
