[RELEASE) Nehrim - At Fate's Edge (English version)

Post » Sat Sep 04, 2010 11:46 pm

I have the NehrimInstall_1.0.7.5_EN.exe on my desktop, but when I double click it I get an error that says:

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

I downloaded the file through a torrent to my external hard drive using my laptop which has Vista 64-bit, then pulled it off my external hard drive to my gaming pc which has 7 64-bit. Any ideas?

Nevermind, I figured it out.

First, I would like to suggest that everyone downloading and seeding the torrent version of Nehrim add this to their list of trackers:
Spoiler
http://tracker.publicbt.com/announceudp://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announceudp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announcehttp://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce

so that it is easier/faster to download. In uTorrent, you can do this by selecting the Nehrim torrent, click on the "Trackers" tab, right-click in the lower window, click on "Add Tracker" then paste the above into the window that appears.

As for mods, I'm positive that some mods (ie: texture/mesh replacers, DarNified menus, etc) will be compatible. Then I imagine that creating mods is very much possible using the Construction Set, though using content from Oblivion will require that that content be copied into the Nehrim installation folder first. I'm just speculating though.

I've got Nehrim installed and all mods unchecked, checked all the Nehrim related esm and esps, launch the game from the Nehrim launcher, and when I go and click on start a new game, nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem and know what I'm doing wrong???

Please work through all the steps suggested in the first post of this thread under "Technical Support".

Sorry, no idea. Normally the installer runs perfectly with both 32 and 64 Bit Windows. I can only recommend you to download it again.

started playing -- well I say that -- I click new game and then yes to pop up and nothing happens -- Oblivion's patched up any problems?

NOTE: Dropped same question to your Moddb page too

EDIT: same problem as that other guy I guess too -- I'm also running it on the seperate launcher if that makes a difference

Go tick off your old mods in the Nehrim Luancher and select only the Nehrim mods. Worked for me.

So far Nehrim pretty awesome :)

I played a little and its AMAZING!!!! :shocking:

The only thing that is unclear is that I've seen in the readme that I have to check only “Nehrim.esm” and “NehrimData.esp”, nothing else. But there is also a Nehrim english.esp. I checked it but is this okay?

Don't worry by only “Nehrim.esm” and “NehrimData.esp” they meant don't have stuff like ob.esm and shivering isles.esp and most mods(you can still use texture replacements in nehrim)and Nehrim english.esp is obviously a nehrim mod.

Alright, thanks for the clarification :) . I just wanted to make sure since there is a big NOTHING ELSE! in the readme.

Nvm, ticking off other mods worked :) Played a bit, and I'd say I'd pay for this kind of quallity. I hardly recognise it as Oblivion!

I have what looks like missing textures in the starting dungeon, some of the wood and floor looks purple. In oblivion I was using QTP 3.0, maybe I have to restore the vanilla textures?

Rocks and bones look normal.

This is wonderful! I thoroughly enjoy playing Artktwend for Morrowind, in fact right now it's the MW game on my desktop. I can't wait to experience Nehrim! Thank you for your dedication, and for sharing with the rest of us! :foodndrink:

I played the German version up until the abbey - I think it took me 60 hrs just to get that far! I had to keep pausing to translate because my German's not good enough. I will be so good to finally know what they're saying :) It has been torture waiting for the English version because I know how great this game is already!!

YES !!! Finally, after 4 years ! I'm downloading right now from moddb.com, the download should take around 3 hours ! XD

Thank you Sureai, you guys are awsome! Absolutely awsome! I can't find words to describe how damn fascinating the game looks now ( well from what I've seen in videos ).

I'm too excited, I think I'll read the ReadMe and calm down a bit !

Have a look to the left of the inn, there is a path leading up.
