Is there anyway to make the launcher's data files only detect mods in Nehrim's data folder?

I think I got it working.

BUT, it appears DarNUI is making all the words and stuff messed up when I try to play. How do I fix this?

Try installing it to a different folder than the one ob is in.example if oblivion is in c:games then install nehrim somewhere else even try making your own folder for it in your c section thing p.sI am crap at explaining so don't bother asking me what I meant in better words.

Took me an hour to download.

Just left the Mine...

&%*(#)_@$ Awesome.....

The very moment exiting the mine, blew Oblivion's money-shot those many many years ago out of the water and into Oblivion....lol

I fixed a few niggles by backing up my old ini and deleting it. I then let Nehrim rebuild it and it's been smooth sailing.

Downloading now for the future when I install Oblivion again. Will keep seeding as long as this version is the newest one.

Is the readme broken? I can't seem to download/look at it at the moment.

Guys correct me if I'm wrong but aren't my skills supposed to be non-oblivion like? I mean the whole point of the xp system is learning points, thus increasing your skills with them, but mine are growing with use, just like in oblivion. I don't get it... is it a bug or I just misunderstood the whole concept, and skill trainers and learning points are only a "boost" to your skills?

I'm using the OBSE loader and dlls in the nehrim folder and it seems to work fine - got stutter remover in there. Not sure if it's working though. Any knowledge about this?

So far, it's awesome. About to do a 'kill some rats' quest though :/

Your skills still increase by use, but much, much slower than in Oblivion.

Yeah there is a point during the dungeon where your like YEEESSSSS FINALLY, though your not quite there yet, then you get turned on your head before you escape.

There is a corridor on the left. Go through it and pull the lever.

The experience points you earn are used to increase your skills faster. The default Oblivion system is still there, but skills increase much slower than in vanilla Oblivion. Which means it will take a loooong time until you hit 100 in a skill unless you spend your experience points to increase the skill. That's at least how I understood it.

EDIT: *cough* I'm a bit late it seems

Been playing for a few hours now

Haven't found any trainers yet. The levelling kind of confuses me. Because your skills level so slowly, you end up levelling up but not levelling your skills, so you get horrible attribute boots (+2 or +3 if you're lucky). This might be normal, I can't imagine they'd overlook something like this, maybe skills influence more in Nehrim than Oblivion

The map is enormous. I've been playing for about 3 hours and I've covered an insignificant amount of ground. I honestly cannot wait to explore the rest of the map

It seems to be divided by level. I entered a forest and it said "Something forest levels 4 - 14" at the top, so it seems all of the areas are divided by level. I actually like this. I'm guessing the tranquil forests are lower level regions and the harsh mountains and border areas are higher level. I definetly like the fact that some regions are more dangerous than others, and that the enemies don't seem to scale. You just find creatures that belong in the environment, aka, you won't run into mud crabs in the mountains, and you won't come across ogres on farms

The game has added so much that I've not even been able to try out yet. Mining, digging, forging, hunting, crafting... there's tons of stuff to do outside of quests and combat. I can tell I'm going to be playing this for a while

I'm not too far into the story, I kind of left on a tangent with a side quests but I plan to pick up the main quest again soon. Sounds pretty interesting so far

Overall, so far it's been completely epic

Anybody got some tips for improving performance?

I get pretty bad performance on my Athlon X3 440, GeForce 460GTX, 4GB Ram, Windows 7. 1680x1050, HDR, no AA.
15-30 fps when looking over the world outside the dungeon fx. Sometimes 20 fps inside the dungeon.

I have tried disabling/lowering many graphic-settings and most of them don't seem to do much really. I have all performance-tweaks enabled in Nehrim launcher.

Anybody got some tips?

So I'm super interested in what mods we can add which work right away...

Not many, i'm sure. But I dont know whether I should play now or wait a month or two for people to port some mods over and make it super duper omgwtf AMAZING for my first experience of it...

How extensive/difficult is the installation of this? I want to play it, but I'm a newby as far as installing mods goes. Is installing this going to take hours, and knowing what you're doing?

Wow, this game is intense.

I am stuck again, though

Spoiler
The roof of the tutorial mine collapsed and TONS of young cave trolls are running towards me. Where should I go, what should I do?

@Betrayer - It's relatively easy to install, as it comes with an installer. If you have Oblivion off of Steam there will be some fiddling around needed, however.

Kill them ofcourse

There's too many of them. They're easy to kill but in such large numbers it seems like an impossible feat.
