#releasegate

fo4 sprawling over 3w like cancer since friday, not only streams btw.

the release date gap by timezone is unfair - y r australian customers being preferred over european?

(not that this strategy also risks spoilers)

answer: spoilers r intended 4 hype too, releasegap is just another PR-move to heat debate for sceptic/uninformed rest etc.

thx gamesas, as european i feel abused by ur PR-strategy, is intergroup contexting/inequal treatment really necessary (because its all over 3w since friday)?
but i guess the not-so-customers own the freeware version since thursday, right?

btw - have u ever considered licensing CryEngine3?

Wait so as I live in the UK I should have to wait till midnight in the US to get the game unlocked?

If it is a midnight release it is a midnight release. You do understand how time zones work right?

Edit: Ninja'd on the time zones by Aphex lol.

Better than it used to be - remember when games were released in the USA on Tuesday, and not until Friday in Europe?

Actually i have a question that i think could be answered here instead of a new thread. On Bethesda.net it says in the U.S the game releases 12:01 EST. Does this mean that if i'm in the Central Time Zone will it release at 11:00 pm or will i have to wait till midnight?

That sounds like an good business idea, for the pirates :)
Star Wars 1(4) was the last block booster who did not have an world release.

It was also the movie who made piracy of movies mainstream.

Correct. That's why people in other countries "further ahead" in time zone are already playing

Yup, North America is 12:01 EST. That means on the west coast it will be at 9:01 P.M. on the 9th.

So much for midnight release. Pirates already play the cracked pre-load and didn't pay a dime, lol.
