Reliable CTD (FCOM installation), any ideas?

Crashing to desktop reliably (multiple times) every time I try to Fast Travel from just outside Chorrol's Fighter Guild to the Stables outside of Chorrol. I also have some texture replacement mods going, and OBGE (only Godrays). Any ideas?

I have that off, it still crashes. More notes:

- I just disabled the whole Bashed Patch to test, and it still crashes even with all of those merged mods off.
- I walked right through those Stables on my way into Chorrol just fine; I didn't see anything buggy at all. I entered Chorrol, walked into the Fighter's Guild to turn in a quest, walked out, and then tried to Fast Travel outside of Chorrol (to the Stables) and it crashed. It's crashed in the same way 7~ times, so it's very reliable.
- Auto saving is OFF.
- It also has nothing to do with the paranoid elf who follows you to give you the quest in Chorrol; I've already accepted his quest, and he is not following me.
- Disabled all Unique Landscapes, still crashed.
- Disabled KhajitPaws (since BOSS doesn't recognize it), still crashed.

I Fast Traveled all around the world, and it works just fine everywhere--EXCEPT what appears to be the Southwest part of the map (Kvatch, Anvil, outside of Chorrol).

Okay, I think it's one of these (which is very bad):

When I turned all of them off (except Oblivion.esm of course), I can Fast Travel everywhere with no issue at all.

FCOM--did you follow the exact installation procedures outlined for the group? Because it's not the same as installing any one part. -Not meaning to insult you, but a lot of people seem to regard FCOM installation with the same thrill they'd get from reading an advanced algebra text. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1197195-relz-fcom-convergence-and-ufcom-relz

Do you think it could have something to do with me using FCOM_Convergence.esm and FCOM_Convergence.esp at the same time? On that Wiki, it does NOT say to use the .esp, but it does not specifically say to only use the .esm. I was told to use the .esp by someone on a different Oblivion mod board.

I was just able to narrow down the problem; by disabling Mart's Monster Mod.esm (and its children, which includes FCOM_Convergence.esp), the Fast Travel works.

Also note that I've been playing this installation for 10+ hours with no problems until now.

Yes, you should definitely use both FCOM_Convergence.esm and FCOM_Convergence.esp. Follow http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1197195-relz-fcom-convergence-and-ufcom-relz/ and the FCOM homepage (linked from the former).

EDIT: Your load order looks quite OK as far as I can tell so I would scale back quite a bit, to a core FCOM install plus musts. Trouble shooting w/o any known culprits and a huge load order can be daunting. Doubt it is connected to any FCOM mod. But perhaps someone sees something - I'm not that familiar with the UL's, for example.

Minor note:

** EVE_StockEquipmentReplacer.esp - Skip. Only use the FCOM esp below (but install all resources).

What now?


Double check all installs, i.e. that you have the bsa's correctly named etc. But something like that would be obvious from the start (crashes, missing meshes), so sounds like a long shot when already in Chorrol. Another long shot is that it is caused by a bad spawn, but that sounds a bit implausible as well. Worth a shot, anyway - wait 4 days for a respawn before fast traveling there.

Waited for 4 days for cell respawn, that didn't work. All of my .bsa are named correctly. Tried resetting Oblivion.ini too, that didn't work. :(
