No religion?

I loved the Malkavian dialogues in Vampire Bloodlines. What appeared as rambling at 1st, if you thought about it, it made a lot of sense.

I get what your saying but I wanted to take the opportunity to point out something you may not normally see yourself. The statement "the problem comes when they decided their way is the right way" is a symmetrical statement about the right way to do things. Or a statement saying that the right way to behave is to behave as if there is no right way. Which would be self refuting.

Easy mistake, just wanted to point it out because it could easily go unnoticed in the day to day grind.

It's not even a god, just a cosmic force/state. (The "IS NOT" counterpoint of the "IS" of Anuiel.)

The aedra and daedra aren't really good/evil either. Mortals tend to see the aedra as good simply because they represent more stable forces while the daedra represent more volatile ones, but the et'ada themselves aren't really capable of grasping "morality" as mortals define it, much less acting with intent on the concept.

Each province of Tamriel has its own pantheon of gods it worships. There are two types of gods; Aedra who sacrificed part of themselves to create the mortal plane, and Daedra who kept themselves intact and cannot interact with the mortal plane under normal circumstances.

While many consider Daedra to be evil, this is misguided. Daedra could be thought of as forces of nature which are totally alien to mortals, but which mortals form their own understanding about. For example, there is one known as Meridia, who seems to be the Daedric Prince of radiant, life-giving energy. Not a bad thing for most mortals. But she did once support an elven warlord who wanted to enslave mankind. It is better to think of Daedra as morally neutral.

The pantheon you'll see the most in the games is the Imperial Cult, also known as the Eight Divines during the time of the MMO. Later another is added and they become the Nine.

Aren't Bosmer in this game strict carnivores/cannibals because of their particular religion in this game? I seem to recall something called the Green Pact or something, sounded very religion-y.

so having gods that chose not to take part in creation locked inside the realm of creation who then created their own planets in their image is not original? or a species of cat-elves thats form changes depending on the moon cycle it was born under isn't original either? I also don't know many fantasy games that have spacestations orbiting the realm of mortals which are used for training battlemages.. or how about the whole CHIM thing? "I AM AND I ARE ALL WE"?

man its at least a little bit original..
