Yeah, I was going for general popularity comparison but he would also count but this game takes place in the Second Era so Nerevarine wasn't around yet. Nerevar did die in the First Era so maybe him but he'd only be popular with Dunmer.

Why not? They're not as in-depth as they could be, but they're great for people just starting to get their toes wet in the lore. That's what I've found, anyway. :twirl:

(Eek, double post. Sorry.)

Lorkhan kinda works, from the 'died to show men the way' angle.

There's quite a lot of Daedric involvement in ESO, and I'm not just talking about Molag Bal. I'm a bit surprised at how directly the Princes are interfering, even considering how meddlesome they are in previous ES games.

to be fair his prophecies still exists at the time of ESO and if you think about it Martyr who died and who will return to right all wrongs caused by foreginers and false gods , and whose followers are persecuted.

True, so for men it'd be Lorkhan (or Shor to the Nords)

Yeah, for the Dunmer it'd be Nerevar.

I guess you could also say that for the Imperials it'd also be St. Alessia so it'd really depend on the race.

Because more often then not they seem to go not only not "in-depth" but barely toutch the surface of the stuff they talk about. Or take something that is clearly a in-universe propagadna and present it as a fact. The last thing I have the biggest problem , they always present their videos as a fact rather then theory or one of possible options.

Of course! There is Alkosh (the first cat), Khenarthi (the wind), Magrus (the cat's eye) , Mara (Mother Cat) and lets not forget (the runt) S'rendarr. That's just a start. I reccommend Words of Clan Mother Ahnissi.

dunmer would worship ALMSIVI. i don't think you would pick one out over the other two would you? they kind of come as a group; a trinity perhaps. similar to other popular monotheist religions. they also tend to like azura. nerevar wasn't actually worshiped was he? he's more of a general than a godhead.

I believe that the Dunmer did not start to worship Nerevar until the Fourth Era, at least widely, at this point the Tribunal is big with them.

Nerevar is one of the most important saints of Dunmeri religion , while ashlanders think of him (or at least of his reincarnation) as of Messiah. So yes maybe not strickly a god , but definitly not just a general.

Real life gods/pantheons should not clutter the established gods/pantheon in TES universe.
