Reloading bench

Post » Tue Jan 15, 2013 8:47 am

I was just cehcking the Fallout New Vegas wiki page and could not find (much) info on reloading benches. Can anybody tell me what ecxactly the reloading benches does? Because i was breaking down 12 gauge slugs the other day and suddenly i noticed i had no slugs for my sawed-off shotgun?! :bonk:

So ball park, what exactly does a reloading bench?

Many thanks. :tops:

Break down ammo into components and also allows you to make more ammo from said components.

But it doesn't actually makes shells, does it? What would be the purpose of breaking them down? Weightloss?

XD when you break down ammo you get powder, cases, primers and lead. depending on the ammo size you break down. You get a percentage of the ammo you fired as empty cases, plus you can buy cases, powder, and primers. You must go to a reloading bench to reload your empty brass. So all you have to have is the right parts and you can make ammo of whatever type you want. So rarer ammo types can be make in quantity. Plus if you get the Hand Loader perk you have access to even more powerful ammo types.
