The site is outdated, as the opening post says, right at the top. The list here and on my site are current. If you see information in the opening post that does not match up with what is on the site, give the information here priority.

Wow thanx for the fast response! My question got answered while I was still editing my first post to ask another question!
I had also wanted to ask, I plan to eventually use TheNiceOne's Enhanced Economy, which apparently isn't compatible with Living Economy. If I include Living Economy at the moment, will it be easy to uninclude it later when I switch to Enhanced Economy?

ok. thank you. b/c this site presents Francesco's before OOO in the install order, should I uninstall my OOO OMOD, install Francesco's, and then reinstall OOO?

ps- b/c i read you suggestion about OOO-waterfish script after i created the OOO OMOD, i right-clicked the OOO Complete 1.33 OMOD, chose Edit, and entered your information into the script there, saved/closed, and then run the OMOD. will your script addition work properly having been entered after i followed the add archive>create OMOD?

thank you very much, btw, for you prompt and helpful assistance.

here's the part of that post that confused me:

"Recommended install order:

Unofficial Oblivion Patch
Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch (if applicable)
DLC's + Patches (if applicable)
Francesco's Creatures-Items 4.5 (optional)
OOO version 1.33 full patched to OOO 1.34 beta5 (required)
Oblivion WarCry patched to 1.085b (optional)"

That is Install Order of how things should be Installed once again with FCOM

That is not the install order. That is just a list of what to install. You can ignore it since you have everything.

Tom,

I Beg to Differ that is the UFCOM Install Order

Because Once again MMM is stored in BSA and time and date does matter. For what resources are shared between it and other mods etc.

This is why having people not follow our guide leads to problems once again. And you redirecting them your site.

Best to not install Living Economy and Just use Enhanced Economy from the get go...LE and EE do work. But EE is so much better.

okay, i am going to follow the below order, b/c it seems to be the most up to date FCOM-approved one plesae someone holler if i am wrong. i deleted OOO via OBMM and will reinstall it after Fran's. thanks to you all once again. this isn't an easy process of me starting out, but i know i will get the hang of it as i go along (though i am starting to get a wee bit gun shy about reading differing sites w/ differing approaches and differing dates- some being inapplicable to FCOM in it's current state). so i appreciate your patience with me. :-)

Recommended install order:

Unofficial Oblivion Patch
Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch (if applicable)
DLC's + Patches (if applicable)
Francesco's Creatures-Items 4.5 (optional)
OOO version 1.33 full patched to OOO 1.34 beta5 (required)
Oblivion WarCry patched to 1.085b (optional)
Bobs Armory 1.1 (optional)
Armamentarium and Armamentarium Artifacts (optional)
Mart's Monster Mod 3.7b3 (required)
COBL (optional)
COBL Races (optional)
FCOM 9.9 + supported add-ons (add-ons optional)
Body Replacement mods (Roberts, Exnem. EVE etc) (optional)
Texture replacers (optional)

I said that that was the install order about four posts ago. You misread my replies. I was saying that the list of downloads, further down in the opening post was not the install order. The OP was confused by the two lists since they both are labeled "Install" and have some sort of order. I pointed out that the first was the one to pay attention to...

are the individual sub-steps for each mod's install sequence (e.g., the individual bullet point steps for each main mod component, like MMM) at http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcominstall.html still applicable, such that i should follow them, even if the overall install sequence of the main mod components follows the order at the top of this thread?

Yes.

Edit: Mart's Monster Mod ReadMe - http://pages.suddenlink.net/corepc/ <-- Use this while you go through the MMM install, and make sure you choose the FCOM installation when prompted during the MMM install.

thanks- i think i am finally clear now on this. is the process for installing mod patches and addons in OBMM the same- create an OMOD in the same process after installing the main mod (i.e., create an OMOD from things like OOO 134 beta 5 patch and Franceco's 4.5b add on package)?

gack- don't seem to be able to make an OMOD from Francesco's Leveled CreaturesItems Mod, i guess b/c it is an application and not an archive file. i select it and OMOD;'s error states "unable to extract anything from archive"

i will install it directly from the application file.

See my edit.

Edit: Check your BSA names, and post your load order (via Wrye Bash) when you finish. Don't forget UFCOM either. I did not see you mention it, but just install FCOM and UFCOM with theNiceOne's FCOM installer. Follow the instructions on the Nexus page to create the OMOD properly.

No you are not wrong that is most update Load order for Installing FCOM that is approved by the team itself and that is order of how things are going to be installed when the next updates come out has well.

The FCOM Site is to be used just has guide itself for referncing things, since none of current FCOM members have access to FCOM site we cannot update that information.

If you take your time in installing everything then you should not any problems.

FCOM requires a bit of learning Curve to get up and running correctly.

using the MMM and FCOM OMOD Installer once again.

Run the executable and have the installer install the files to a temporary folder. After you finish installing Fran, create and OMOD using 'Add folder' to add the folder to which the files were installed.

one Francesco's install option that i did not encounter in the 4.5 installer was "Merge Optional Files (do NOT merge the files!)" so i never got the option to check/uncheck this.

also, i followed the FCOM instructions to the letter, and selected
Francesco's Optional Chance of More Enemies.esp but it is not in my Data folder. i do have the GOTY edition so i can run the SI-specific aspects. i don't know why it didn't install. should i reinstall the main Francesco's application again? it;s not a feature i feel strongly about, so if i am not going to run into problems in FCOM b/c i don't have, and if it won't complicate any mod installs down the road, i'm okay leaving it out.

Not sure where you got the idea that it will have a "Merge Optional Files (do NOT merge the files!)" option. It has a "Merge Optional Files" option, though, IIRC. Just follow the installation guide in the FCOM Homepage for Fran's and choose Seperate files etc.

See my last post about packaging Fran.

You do not need to use Fran's SI option. If you do, you should have those files. Toward the end of the install, you can eiter review the Fran install or go back and check. Go back and make sure that the merged files option is not checked. I'll run the installer right now and see if I can find the exact window.

i didn-'t- that was text i pasted from the FCOM site indicating that i would encounter that option, which i didn't, in the Fran's 4.5 installtion application. it's obviously important to the installtion in FCOM to not merge the files, so i was a bit nervous at not having gotten this option anywhere in the install.

odd too that i selected Francesco's Optional Chance of More Enemies and it didn't install in my Data folder.

re: tom's post.. yes, i clicked the back buttons and cycled through my install choices to double check everything, and didn't see a merge option, and did have Francesco's Optional Chance of More Enemies checked.

at this point, i am double checking all my install options against those of FCOMs

Well, it's not like you have a special, different exe installer than all the others get. Anyway, must go to work so others must take this.

thank you

that step never appeared for me, and i was going slowly and carefully on each install screen-- i used FrancescosLeveledCreaturesItemsMod application file (40,753KB) from http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=268

on the off chance that murphy's law hates/loves me and my mouse registered 2 clicks when it should have been 1, what is the default answer on that screen?

thus, i have no idea if the install is merged or not...anyway to tell?

Did you see the picture? You're taking the instructions a little too literally it seems... The guides do not have the exact name...err, description of the problem. Fortunately, I guess, Fran is the part that most people trip over, so you are not alone with your current trouble.

i read your post re: running it as the administrator, which i will try. at this point though i am worried that if merged was the default install choice, my Fran's install is porked, and that i'll need to remove it before reinstalling. i don't suppose it is as simple as just removing the fran's files in the Data folder? if not, what else might i need to do. can't believe i didn't get a merge option in the installer.

The Fran installer installs and uninstall.dat file or something. Just run that guy, and Fran will completely uninstall itself. However, if you are going to pack this thing into an OMOD, choose a folder other than the Oblivion install folder. If you are not packing it into an OMOD, that does not matter...

Did you see my post in which I posted the summary at the end of the install, what it should look like, and the image of the screen showing the separate/merge the optional files step?
