 Most people nit-pick because they want SK to be better, not because they get off on it. I don't complain about how hth damage isn't tied to a skill because I enjoy it. And to be honest, some overly possitive people should have to watch this to just so they remember it's not perfect too. This whole religion of sheep following beth is just as annoying as the people who do complain for complainings sake, whom are few and far between. It's just the possitive people lable people who have different opinions of something in the game as haters, and are overly negative to people with any kind of concern.

I noticed i watched it in January and dont feel like i need to.

By the way, your argument is pretty weak and doesnt convince anybody. There is more information about the game than what that trailer gives out, so people have their reasons to make criticisms. I personally dont agree with the meager, trivial, and completely inconsequential things that get criticized here, but still, there is info to go on and for each to form an opinion.

Except when terms like "not a real RPG", "not a TES game", "dumbed down", "simplified", "mods, save us" fly around, it's not at all about nitpicking...

I never get tired of watching that video. The music, Max von Sydow's voice, it's all just making me want to play. I'm still amazed by the size of the dragon's head when Dovahkiin fights him. We've passed the 50 days away point and we're in the 40s now. We're nearing Skyrim. :)

Hear, hear.

I suppose wanting a better game, with the mechanics that got us here in the first place is too much to ask for.

I call bull on that one, Bukee. With all due respect, you pretty much personally downplay any criticism whatsoever regardless of how someone phrases it.

Does anyone else get chills down their spine every time Dovahkiin draws his blade in this video?
And when he shouts, "FUS RO DAH!"

The part where Skyrim's booming theme kicks into full gear? Hell yes.

There are somethings that I disagree with that Beth is doing like: removing attributes, no shortswords, cuirass and greaves combined, but the game will still be awesome :celebration: !

Would also like to Remind those who forget that this is a FORUM, stop please stop griping about people griping. also the "complainers" don't make it no where near as big a deal as the "people who dont like Complainers" do.

First of all Op, I approve of your upbeat topic of trying to rehype us since there is alot of complaining happening some days in this forum but I must say that we all care about the game and we all want bethesda to work hard and give us a wonderful game and experiance. I could say alot but to be brief, most of us post our opinions because we care and want a high quality game.^_^

An argument this extreme is what causes a lot of the friction on these forums. Please don't neglect the fact that many 'positive' posts aren't just fanboyisms repeated ad nauseum, but intelligent, well worded discussion that should be recognized.

Just as you want your frustration and legitimate concerns to be heard, so do those who agree with the direction the developers are taking the game.

I've never understood this stance. It's perfectly valid to say "Why are you spending so much time complaining about a feature in a game you haven't even played?" In fact, it's exactly the type of discussion I'd love to have on this forum, but for some reason, that's considered less constructive than complaining about features we've never experienced.

i know my arguement is weak. thats because its not an arguement recently ive just been seeing negativity and nitpicking about issues that either likely have been solved or cannot be solved without taking away the consoles ability to play it and well i thought id post this as a reminder that no matter how harsh the criticism is were all dying to get this game.

Meh, while I agree with the overall point of the OP's topic, using a trailer as something that outweighs the solid, concrete information we DO know is a bad way of going about it.

I do believe that (many of, not all of) the detractors are nitpicking and complaining about things that don't warrant a fraction of the negative reaction they are getting ("forced" 3rd person finishers and alchemy, anyone), but that opinion isn't because of the trailer.

Same can be said "Why are you spending so much time praising a feature in a game you haven't even played" BUT no one does that, why? because it makes all of no sense. so why aren't people allowed to do same opposite?

Maybe I'm just skipping over posts, but I usually see people saying "Wow, this sounds awesome!" or "That dragon looked totally wicked in that video," if they're from Boston.

On the other hand, I hear a lot of "The game is broken now!", "The Elder Scrolls series is dead to me!" and "No spellcrafting means that this game is now a shadow of what it could be." Those aren't so much comments of speculation as ridiculous statements of opinion masquerading as facts.

Well then they're going to be disappointed. Games almost Gold and it launches in 1 1/2 months. Maybe they'll change some things based on feedback for TES VI, but Skyrim as you know it now is what you'll get on 11.11.11.

Nope, SC is a cornerstone mechanic. The yin to enchantments yang. Its an integral part of ES magic and ES magic is now less because of its exclusion. Nothing ridiculous about that statement, unless you never used SC, or never played an ES.
