[RELz] Remote Control Companions Plus

Post » Tue Dec 14, 2010 8:20 pm

I just thought of something.
You could do what I do when I re-use an old character. It works pretty well, too. Cynna has been re-used twice, now, but you'd never know :P
As long as the race is the same it seems to copy over perfectly. Apart from the hair, of course. I'm pretty sure Charlee is Caucasian.

If you ever used Facegen2Ob Converter for Oblivion it's like that, without the extra screens. You just put in the source face (Charlee) and the output face (New Save) and click Transfer and it's done. If you get an error it may be because the Special, Skills and Name haven't been set. But just something temporary is alright.

While waiting for the GaryBash feature to be included I've found it's a suitable alternative :)

Thanks for the link. I'm wanting to import the face into the CS though (to make a companion with that face) not into a save.

I have added a few updates to this mod listed in the change log of the first post. Will be soon adding another stats page that displays your companions Health, Head, Body, and Limb condition as well as Crit Chance and Defense Rating with their currently equipped armor.

Oh that's right. I forgot. Oops :embarrass:

I have read of a way to do it, but it's a bit too complicated for me so I haven't tried it. I'd rather wait for the GaryBash feature :)

Ok I'll give that a shot. Thanks. :)

This improves it but does not completely solve the issue.

What do you mean? You wanted to add him to the list right, either you can now or you can't. If you are having problems getting him to follow commands are you using the patch for SSC I added to the optional files? You don't really say what the problem is so how can I help.

Well it makes the problem of them not following me through doors happen a little bit less often, but still iit happens and at other times he will follow me through doors but stops following me.

EDIT: Yes I have the patch for SCC.

Well if you set them to quest items like I suggested in the nexus thread, and it still happens I'm not sure why. Make sure the SCC patch is after any other esps that go with SCC so it doesn't get overwritten.

What are the names of the NPCs you are having problems with so I can look at them in the CS?

They are custom NPCs, the only packages I give them are sandbox packages and I add them to the player faction. I however did test with Billy Creel for a while and he showed this as well. He had a habbit of running of to (I assume) do his packages in Megaton.

Ok I see what the problem was now. Please try the version I just uploaded and let me know if it fixes your issues.

Just check the readme to be sure it's the right update. The changs log should start with..

3/14/10 Busy day I know. Changed the follow packages to make sure they remain persistant. Some people related problems getting actors to follow through doors, so hopefully this will fix it.
