Remove Journal entries

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 7:51 am

I removed a mod from my game that had given me several journal entries. I cleaned my saves with Wyre afterwards but the entries are still there. Is there a way to safely remove them? Thanks.

I'm afraid that Enchanted Editor is the only way to do so, though I may be mistaken.

Thanks for that info. I have used Enchanted Editor for some minor things but this is beyond my ability.

All you should need to do is load the save, making sure you have a backup. EE makes a backup too. Note what dates the journal entries to remove are; it will make finding them easier. Locate Player Journal on the side and expand it. Click JOUR. You will see a text field. Next to it some scroll arrows, and next to it a button that says "Edit text using multi-line editor" when you hover the mouse over it. Click it and a window will pop up. Find your journal entries to remove and delete from to remove one entry. You can click the Preview HTML button to ensure you got it right. Repeat, click OK, and save.

Thanks for the help. One more question, do I delete the or just what's between them?
