Removing permanent weight?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:55 am

I was messing with my active mods a bit and now it looks like I accidentally removed Ammo Weight without removing all the ammo from my inventory first, so now I'm stuck with 48 weight that I'm actually not carrying.

I could create an item that reduces my carried weight by 48, equip it and then deactivate that mod to make it permanent. But is there a console command or something I could use to do this? That would be easier.

You could try http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/ModAV?

Ah, I didn't know that there was an actor value called InventoryWeight that I could use with that. Thanks!

Edit: Yes, that worked. ;)

After you fix it via modav, you might want to check it via getbaseav - I'm not sure if adjustments made via modav count as changes to your base actor value (used for things like perk conditions). I'm pretty sure it does, but if it doesn't there's another way to fix it, though it's kind of a pain. You have to create a piece of armor with a carryweight boost equal to whatever your stat is off by, equip it, save, and then remove the mod that adds it (basically redo what caused the problem to begin with, but with opposite numbers).

*Edit -

Hmmm, maybe I should read the OP and not just the thread topic. It also took me way too long to get that pilates joke.

You can do
player.GetActorValueInfo CarryWeight
http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/GetActorValueInfo to see a lot more information about what is affecting a stat rather than getav. Actually, it won't show you 'What' is affecting it - just if something is affecting the temp, perm, damage values, etc.
