I was looking at this;
http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Linking_Cells_and_Connecting_to_the_Outside_World
If I'm reading that correctly, the key sections are;
"in a spot outside of Bravil in a wilderness cell at 13,-12"
"re-name the cell to "CreepyCaveExterior""
What I'm working on is a sewer mod to give all cities except Kvatch something similar to the Imperial City sewer system, with manholes inside the city and drain gates outside. For this I have to add to stuff like World Space / Tamriel / Anvilwest01, World Space / Tamriel / Wilderness -50, -8, and then the manholes in stuff like Anvil World / AnvilExterior02 or
Anvil World / AnvilCastleGate.
Renaming the cells to keep track of what I put where would obviously be desirable, what I'm wondering is what's the downside? Near as I can tell none of the cells actually use the "NAME" datablock, only the EditorID datablock. So if I change Anvil World / AnvilCastleGate to Anvil World / AnvilCastleGate_manhole1 what kind of land mines could result as a side effect of changing the cell name? To quote the villain in Marathon Man, is it safe?
