[RELz] Reneer's Guard Overhaul

How do i fix the error where the guards have no armor or bodies and a big cloud followis them with WTF is my mesh?

Could be any mod that changes guard armour, so OOO, Frans, MMM, TIE(?) and then any body mod armour replacer (EVE/Roberts etc). Whichever it is it's missing the armour meshes. Uninstalled anything recently?

Is anyone else having the 5 gold bounty problem again?

I seem to remember it happening a few versions ago and it appears to be happening to me again. I had 1.96d when I noticed it and I thought that was the latest version so i checked and realised there was a 1.97a newer version.
So i upgraded.

Still getting the problem.

Okay, well for me the mod is running almost flawlessly. I went out at nighttime and went into someone's house and stole a bunch of things when they could detect me. They then proceeded to take them back from my inventory, which I thought was a really cool feature. My bounty was 0 the entire time though, and a short while later a guard ran in and gave me a neutral response. Perhaps what should be changed in future versions, is that NPCs should take away stolen items from your inventory depending on their disposition. Once their disposition is low enough (40-50 perhaps), then they call the guards. NPCs should also have dialogue tied to it, such as "Hey, give that back!". Or something like that. If there aren't any dialogue lines along that, then I could make them through the ODDC program.

This might sound implausible but I think a huge note in the first post that's colored glaringly, giving directions on how to post a bug report, could help in this regard.

Dump the plugin in the Data\OBSE\Plugins folder. RGO, IIRC, should automatically detect it.

Hm. I guess the .dll and .dlx were already in the folder. I tried RGO in Oblivion and afterwards checked the pluggy debug text file. But nothing was added. There must be something I must enable.

RGO will automagically detect OBSE and Pluggy. There is nothing to enable. You just need to run Oblivion with the OBSE launcher and RGO (should) detect that Pluggy and OBSE are enabled.

Hm...

I also forgot to mention I'm running 1.97, not 1.97a. That may be a factor. I'll switch and see if this bug with the neutral response still occurs.

If you experience a problem with RGO, always, always, always upgrade to the latest version. As I've mentioned previously, RGO 1.97 is very broken. 1.97a fixes the brokenness. It's no wonder you were experiencing problems. Once you upgrade and have a chance to test it out, please let me know if you are still experiencing problems.

This is one of the reasons I ask people to post the RGODebugFile logs, since it tells me exactly what version of the mod they are running, along with a list of all their other mods.

That's certainly not the entire debug text. There's no mods listed and RGO isn't reporting what version it is. Did you copy everything from the file? I also need at least a little description about what happened in-game.

I attacked a guard and they ran up to me giving me a neutral response. after I exit conversation, they then attack me but I can yield and then they give me the correct response.

I attack a guard and they keep unsheating/sheathing their weapons over and over again, while the movements of the guard I attacked were quick and spastic.

I attack a guard and he gave me the correct response after giving me a neutral response (as the first example), but kept forcing me into coversation over and over again as I keep choosing to resist arrest.

Hmmm. Ok... the issue is that I can't seem to reproduce that behavior. I think I know why it is occurring, however. Try using the Configuration Ring and resetting RGO to defaults. That should fix your issues, if my guess is correct.

Hats off to you, dude. You maintain your mods and make a lot of people happy. I've been using it for a long long time now and still appreciate it.

I still maintain the mods I put out 2-3 years ago so I feel the pain but it's well worth it to make people happy.

I have no clue what the issue is - all I know is I can't seem to reproduce it on my end. I can attack the guard and he will in turn attack me. If I yield he will try to arrest me again. If I resist arrest after yielding he will resume attacking me.

Eh, didn't work. Maybe I didn't clean save right. Should I save in a new slot when I clean save? Does it matter?
