Reneer's Rain Mod 0.91 Released!

0.91 - Hopefully fixed issues with CTD problems (though since I am not experiencing them, this is difficult). Removed a debug message. Fixed issues with some waterfalls not rotating themselves properly.

Dunno how else I can be of help.
Obviously it has to be something in your LO that is causing the CTDs - I'm not experiencing them at all. I have absolutely no idea what could be causing the problem. :/

Well, here's the catch - It crashes with a clean LO too. I'll see if I can catch the code flow on my end nevertheless.

PS : Would you mind posting your LO ?

Huh. I only recently posted, asking if this was possible, in the Fallout 3 Mods forum.

So, not only is this mod awesome in its own right (assuming it can be made to work with All Natural ;) ) but... does this also mean it *is* possible in FO3 as well? Seems likely, but then, I don't know enough about the differences for sure.

I wonder how difficult it would be to convert it. Of course, you need to modify FO3 in the first place, to have rain at all. Not sure how much that would change things, let alone any other factor.

My game also crashes with the mod enabled. I have a clean and quite short mod list at the moment, and I'm loading the rain mod before the bashed patch. Hm.

Does this still use the beta version of OBSE 18? Maybe that's why.

Lol, just the other day I was kept awake most of the night thinking about how to solve the infamous rain problem, and had several brainwaves, but it seems I don't need to bother now! :P Good show Reneer, I hope this version gets rid of the CTDs that other people were getting. :) I'm still going to do some of the initial experiments with my idea, and compare it to how yours works - it might be that we can combine aspects and improve it! :)

EDIT - The Nexus link isn't working for me at the moment, I'll have to grab this later

Apparently TES Nexus broke the file upload. I just reuploaded 0.95 again and it seems to be working this time.

I can go outside and get inside before the crash.

I am using mods that add tokens to NPC - maybe your rain guy gets affected?
Also using All Natural weather mod.

Tried different load orders. Using Wrye Bash.

Is there a debugging I can turn on to give you more info?

EDIT - Eh, you mentioned meshes - there aren't any meshes in the DL. Only the esp. Is this right? END EDIT

Are you running 0.95? Did you extract both the ESP file and the BSA file to your Data folder?

0.95 has been reuploaded. Again. This time it was my fault. Make sure you have both ReneerRainMod.ESP and ReneerRainMod.BSA in your Data folder. If not, please download 0.95 again.

Still getting crashes? I have absolutely no idea what might be causing them. Try extracting the BSA files.

Okey; so in the meshes folder we got meshes/sky/rnrainwall-new-noeditor.nif
and in the texture folder textures/sky/rnraindrop.dds

I did took a quick look in the Tes4Edit but I don't know that much about modding and scripting. You are using default oblivion weather textures and creatures?
Well, I am out of ideas :violin:

I'll have a closer look at this tomorrow; got allot of things to take care of.

Hi Reneer

I downloaded 0.96 and installed it and I'm using All Natural.

First I put the esp at the end of my load order and when I loaded the game it kept switching from a sunny weather to a rainy one constantly (about every second or two). I fast traveled to Bruma and when I stood next to the chapel the weather stopped constantly changing and stayed raining. As soon as I moved away from the chapel it went back to switching between sunny and raining again. Soon after that I CTD.

Then I moved the esp above All Natural's, loaded the game, the weather switched a few times (every second or so again), then I CTD.
