Eh, hard to answer the first one. I almost always buy my games used from Gamestop, which means I can return it within 7 days for a full refund. I tend to use that time to decide if I like the game or not. If I enjoy playing it, I'm likely to just keep it and not return it. If I don't like it, I return it.
I don't have any local friends to borrow games from. ;_;
I don't watch trailers, but I do tend to read customer reviews as well as look at MetaCritic and its user reviews as well as the scores from the "professional" reviewers. That being said, I've learned that unless the game is utter poo (score 50 or lower), there is a slim chance I might like it, as I've enjoyed a few games that have gotten "low" scores, and disliked games that got "high" scores. So, that is why buy the games used from Gamestop, because barring the game being inherently craptastic (think Rogue Warrior), I'll never know for sure if I will like it. Also, a trialer is like a commercial/promo, it isn't going to alert me to gameplay bugs and other problems, it is going to highlight only the good things.
Game quantity from most to least:
PS2 > PC > PSP
So, I guess the PS2 is my "main" system?
Oh, I also use Switchgames to acquire games, so I guess that is like getting used games. :shrug:
