Thanks Tetchy. I tried your possible solution to no avail. However, after trying your steps I came to the solution to the problem I think.

Looks like MWSE 0.9.4a launches the game with Morrowind Launcher.exe. So instead of launching the game from MWSE I launched it from the Morrowind.exe directly. Seems to have worked. :twirl:

FYI for anyone who's interested...

-Soultrap issue happens (for me at least) when I don't hit the creature with a weapon at all (ie when I kill it with magic only)
-Opening a container resets inventory OK, no need for reload

Hm... this is more of an observation than a request

Having recently updated my code patch from 1.2 to 1.6 and selecting which features I wanted I found myself dithering over the hand-hand combat feature - in the game hand-to-hand is linked to the skill of speed not strength - I sometimes pick healer class which is a good hand to hand class - my healers are not noted for being strong but dexterous (just as well I did a spell check moment there or it would be embarassing) and spellcasters.

I wonder if an alternative option for hand-hand would of been to link it to agility so it is viewed more as a martial art than pugilism

Still it's an awesome tool and I'm very grateful you created it :)

Hrnchamd, please, remove the max-heigth & max-width of the Stats Menu and the max-width of the Magic Menu. And also make the enchanted menu resizable.

Curiously, the Inventory window hasn't any limit in resizing.

In new PCs with high res screens is painful, those windows cannot be expanded, the large fonts are cutted off. :-(

i thought the whole strength thing was to make it the same as the rest of the weapons in regard to damage, though the hand to hand skill still is the larger factor in performance. kinda like how strength effects short blade.

as for suggestions:
any chance at fixing how the command modlevel doesn't accept variables?

or that the game engine incorrectly adds invisible blight diseases in conjuction to the .ini values?

how about fixing the bug where if an item is picked up in menumode, with a script attached to disable it on activation, that the script won't be able to disable the item because it's stuck to the cursor?

what should really be fixed, is that with an increase of the enchant skill, there is a decrease of the charges needed to use an enchanted item.

So, spells are useless after a point, because I use only enchanted items, and never fail.

Is it possible to fix this issue?? :)

For example; if you talk to trebonius about House Telvanni you get a "nice" message of DELETE (in capital letters yes). I first thought it was the MPP, but it also happens if i use MCP with the old UMP 1.63b from ThePal.

@candesco: What other mods are you using? This seems like something leftover when someone deletes dialogue but forgets to do an extra load-and-save to complete deletion. (the first save after deleting dialogue leaves these "DELETE" entries)

I do that so I know which lines I want to revert back to the original version via TESAME. I swore I got all of those... :embarrass:

Anyway, you can use TESAME to "delete" those entries. Just make sure you use the updated version of the mod instead of the old one.

anolyzing the code I've found some hacks.

1.- Make a backup of your morrowind.exe.
2.- Open the morrowind.exe file with a Hex Editor.
3.- Seach & replace the precise bytes.

For example to change the max-width of the Magic Stats Menu:

Search this string of hex bytes:
B8 82 01 00 00 50 68 2F 80 FF FF 8B CE E8 9D 13

Bytes to change: 82 01
The hardcoded max width value is: 82 01 -> 01 82 = 0182 hex =386 dec = 386 pixels

In order to increase that value to 800 pixels: 800 dec = 320 hex = 0320 hex -> 20 03 is the value to change to.

So overwriting:
B8 20 03 00 00 50 68 2F 80 FF FF 8B CE E8 9D 13

Save the changes and prove.

I don't have deleted things myself, only some savegames now and then. (i make now and then new save games and delete then the old ones) The only thing i had done after installing all the mods and make some changes is updating the jasmine mod to the latest version (followed the steps which jac mentioned to do this)

I'm not familiar with Tesame and since i don't know how it works i don't touch it. I'm afraid to screw my game and can install everything again. From what i have read tesame is quite destructive and it causes problems if you don't know what you're doing.

Imagine my surprise when, after a while of living this comfy life with the sound of wind and rain, a blizzard came up and the snow blew unhindered through my walls... Had me checking for a nearby Motel 6, I'll tell you.

Anyway, is there any way a user can prevent that other than disabling blizzards for the region, and if not, will that issue be addressed?

No, really, they do far more damage now then they should. 420 (at 50 difficulty) compared to 50 to 250 or whatever it should normally be? 300 max?. I could link to the posts if requested. It might take awhile though.

Also according to other posts, good news, Reflect is not bugged by not stacking, it's Spell Absorption.
So, if you feel like fixing Spell Absorption, Hranchand, that will make people happy.

Also, I need to update my copy of the MCP.
Also, let's not fundamentally destroy the Enchant option, Arcimaestro Anteres. :)
It's supposed to cost less and less charges per increase in enchant. That's the only reason to increase it.

Also Defend Bonus is bugged, because with 1000 defend bonus, no skeleton archer or Centurion Archer should be able to hit you. Yet they do. They shouldn't even have a one in 50,000,000 chance. :) Especially combined with 1800+ luck, and 300 agility.
Might want to look into that. Unless archers are secretly more powerful than Gaenor. :)

I've been testing mods and played the BM main quest for the first time . . . I thought the werewolves seemed really really tough, even with my uber mod items I was using. One werewolf attack would destroy my Nord Mail Shield (health 500) super fast. So they aren't supposed to be that tough? That's good to hear for when I play through again after finalizing my mods. :)

Confirmed. I've tried with a fresh new argonian wearing a robe enchanted for 1000 unarmored skill giving me 6500+ defense. And what? Dremora is killing me in one strike. Just great. :(

Oye. Did that Dremora have a Daedric Battle-axe?
Also, Defend bonus doesn't work like Armor class though.
It's a flat reduction in the chance to be hit. Like Sanctuary, but more noticeable.
It's counter-part, Attack bonus is more noticeable too. 1000 on that, and you will hit Gaenor about 99% of the time. :)
With a blade skill of 40.

To be honest, though, an armor of 6500 should reduce all damage below 5000 to less than 1. :)
At least, according to how defense actually works in Morrowind.

No, actually, Werewolves trying to hit you with 6500 defense should do barely 5 damage at 100 difficulty. :)

So, if a Dremora, at level 1 can kill you in one hit, there's a wrap around bug as well here. Which is odd.

Also, stupid archers.

Well, i searched in one of my saves with Enchanted Editor, but i got lost with the many numbers i saw.
Then i loaded every mod i use in the CS and i got some reference errors of missing things in the masterfile. It was about missing references for a couple of rocks and trees to the woodland house mod. Also one reference was missing in andromache.
But i haven't found the [DELETE] entry so far.

I'm starting a new character and I've been checking out bug reports here on the CodePatch. What is Defend bonus? Sanctuary, AR, agility and luck effect ? TIA.
