Just managed to get trueflame particles to stick onto the sword properly, whatever the race. There's lots of weird and redundant code in the scenegraph code. There were three places in the lighting code that needed fixing, a distance compare error for the ground planes, adjusting the falloff range, and moving actors didn't check the player's light.
The stolen item issue. etc.
Use enchanted editor to look how stolen items are stored. That's all the information I get to go on. It is thin.
any chance about looking at this? I always wondered if casting through enchanting was broken since there was no animation or delay.
Seems like it just spawns a bolt immediately, doesn't call any animation code.
I have recently installed v1.4 and am getting some kind of conflict which crashes Morrowind as soon as I try to load a save or start a new game with what looks to be Regionally Known Criminals mod, which is a shame because I love the mod, but the MCP takes precedence, so for the moment I have disabled RKC.
I get the following windows message box on crashing:

While I have quite a substantial list of mods in my game, I didn't have a problem with MCP v1.3 - the only thing I have changed in my game that would have caused the crash is MCP 1.4 (I have not added any additional mods above what I already had in my working game).
The simple fix is of course to leave out RKC, but I'm hoping someone might have some suggestions for me?
I use RKC myself all the time, I doubt it's the mod. Script errors are just a common bug in Morrowind, try loading an earlier save then immediately loading the latest one. It should work eventually, then go to another cell and save.
Modifying the .exe through saves is not a good idea is it? Ever since I changed the patch options, the game WILL CTD on "Clearing Data" 100% of the time on the third load. Ah well, my re-loading was approaching ocd anyway, this will learn me.
I don't know if this will help; try not to reload in the same cell you saved in, from previous testing Morrowind doesn't always reset the cell perfectly. Sounds like it's confused by the third time.
