Repaving roads and more foliage cleanup in settlments

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 9:00 pm

It would be really neat if we could use cement to repave roads over a course of time, and get rid of some of the huge pesky shrubbery and weeds growing everywhere. Just a suggestion. Maybe even faction based options

The piles of leaves and trash all over the floor in some settlements drives me crazy! I'd love to scrap that stuff. Like the road idea too, I keep hoping we'll be able to build vehicles in one of the DLCs (might be wishful thinking though lol)

Definitely. Need a way to remove the 200 year old skeletons too. It's mind boggling that we can't. Even in some npc locations. Like how there is still one chilling in a booth at Drumlin Diner. Surely someone would want to drag all the bodies out of living areas.

Also can we PLEASE do something about the skeletons and dead ghouls all over the damn place?

Not only are they ugly, but you can't even MOVE the skeletons (good call Bethesda, 2 thumbs up), so they interfere with building plans.

their is a mod that lets you scrap the little piles of junk. I did that for 5 hours, now my settlements that used to look like the bad part of Detroit look as clean as the good part of Detroit.

That would be nice. On the PC I can delete the pesky skeletons using the disable command, but the big piles of leaves or trash or whatever... they stay forever. Even in my house. I'll have to seek out that mod, Prankstar.

Just lay down some concrete foundations and decorate all the areas with plants, poles and other crap to make a street look legit.

"http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4640/?" lets you scrap all the piles of leaves and rubble, and junk, and skeletons, and even foundations, sidewalks, driveways, and other building stuff. One of the most useful mods yet made for FO4! The general amount of refuse just laying all over lived in areas just drove me bonkers!

Someone needs to mod in a whipper snipper, and a vacuum...or, better yet, make one of those street cleaning buggies workable. That would be a cool ride, and practical.

Some of the dead bodies can't even be disabled with console commands, like the dead trader lying in the middle of my living room in Kingsport Lighthouse.

Try "markfordelete" command, sometimes "disable" do not work. You have to leave the area and return.

*I guess if Bethesda fix everything we ask for, it will take years and until then, we get FO5* :-)

I throw that dead raider into the water every time I pass by, lol. I know it shouldn't bother me so much, but stay in the water! Or at least let me equip him with some clothes.

yes, the actual city near the Renisons center and Greek Town is nice and relatively clean, the outskirts with the old forclosed buildings that are the bad part.

If you had nice roads then you would want something to drive on them....where would it end?

Which begs the question why the BOS can fly but has no ground transportation.

I'll imagine that with the condition of the roads, or lack of same, makes ground based transportation unreliable at best, impossible at worst. Flying ignores all that, best explanation to me *shrug* :)

...that we have seen. Aircraft are the way to go if you're trying to do what the BoS are doing in the Commonwealth.

The BoS might well have tanks and humvees (IIRC, the BoS formed from the remnants of the U.S. Marine Corps, so they probably do), it just didn't make sense to bring them on this mission. Like any aircraft, The Prydwen can only carry so much.
