Repconn Test Site Radio static.

Post » Sun Sep 26, 2010 11:21 am

I have a question regarding the Repconn Test site radio static.

What's the deal with it ? I have spent about 2 hours looking around the site for the source to this phenomenon.

Is it something special I haven't found yet ?

Is their a way to turn of the ambiance of the radio static ?

Where is the transmission coming from ?

I have looked all over the internet with no such luck finding an answer to my questions regarding the radio static.

If it's just a sound file with no real meaning behind it then I understand and sadly a bit disappointed.

Anyways if anyone can answer my question that I'm having a bit of trouble finding the answer too. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time

If your on pc it could be an error in the file that causes interfierence, or maybe your speakers are getting fuzzy haha

Unfortunately I am not on PC. Also note that the description is titled Xbox 360

Thank you for your reply.

I should also mention that the radio static isn't present until after you finish the chain quest for the ghouls and launch them away on their rockets.

I have never noticed the static. I will have to go back there as I sent the Ghouls on their way to the promised land.

Something to note. Not sure if it's at all a big deal but, walking around Repconn Test site inside the ambiance radio static you may or may not hear get's louder in certain areas and quiet in other places within the facility.

I really wish I had a caption card to show this in video. I was just wondering if I was the only one experiencing this on Xbox 360 or in general and if others have noticed this as well.

'Ride of the Valkyries' plays during the launch. The static you hear begins at the end of the music and continues until you leave.

Oh that's what it is. Thanks so, much for clearing that up but, is it normal for continuing when you have visited the site several times afterwords ?

Might be a bug but, never the less thank you so much for clearing that up for me Al D.

Wish I could clear up the static. Annoying, ain't it?

If you go back to the launch room and press the launch button, the music will play again. But yes, the static goes on forever. I can't get Chris to leave the room above where the rockets were. He keeps saying "Not now, the great journey is about to begin!" The journey left a long time ago nut job.

Did not get back to test this last night. However, it could be that the static is to represent the rockets being too far away to get their signal. To that end, the sound file needs to play through. Try getting your self to the site, then just let your character stand there for a while (maybe while you eat lunch) and see if the file finishes playing.
