Here are my settings again:
Xbox360 250g, set to 720i, cache cleared.
No corrupted saves
Array of in-game bugs (tolerable)
Persistent growing lag (slowed frame rate, unrelated to online lag)
Level 28
68hrs42mins game time
Game loads to sluggish play
Can only play for a few minutes before encountering some form of combat.
As soon as combat ensues game freezes (screen lock) and system must be manually powered down (something I am NOT cool with).
I have had other issues (idolized NCR attacking me at HELIOS One regardless of apparel).
Failed quests still active in quest log (Lorenzo is dead, I can't speak with his corpse about Ed-E).
I have procrastinated all Mr. House related quests short of Bennys escape from the strip and my collusion with Yes Man (haven't even entered lucky 38 just focused on side quests to prevent premature end-game).
Issues escalated previous to Oh My Papa (all previous saves were HOURS before this and I am fairly confident they will persist or return once back to my current stage).
I suggest everyone read through the forums before suggesting their issues are unique (unless they are just intending to confirm others issues).
I still think that something is corrupted through the progress of the game (worse as you go).
What I truly don't understand is how any reviewer (and there have been many I have read) have actually completed the game and only had minor complaints with game instability.
On a side note I think many reviewers are just grazing through the game and not actually completing a game of this size in time for press.
Another thing I wanted to mention is returning this game.
I don't know if it's fair for retainers to be assuming responsibility for this travesty. I am going to wait one week. If nothing has been resolved witb this game I am going to ask other persons on this forum to demand that Bethesda assume responsibility for this and offer full refunds through retailers so that we the consumers don't have to go into stores demanding refunds for open software (typically your stuck short of selling it back the for the current maximum by-back value of $30us.
If anyone would like to consider approaching this like a class action lawsuit (but not literally) I would love to pressure Bethesda to honor it's product and customer base. I don't think losing $30 on a game is fair nor do I think local retailers should suffer Bethesdas rushed and broken product.
I also don't intend looking at my copy of Fallout New Vegas literally collect dust until there is a validated fix (and by fix I mean what I assume to be at least a few fixes with the number and severity of issues).
All said I suggest everyone continue to articulate issues.
