Reproccer&Uncapper clarification pls

Post » Thu Nov 07, 2013 9:11 am

Hey all.. After installing SkyRe, Frostfall, Uncapper, Reproccer, etc im told that either the Uncapper, or the Reproccer allows me to adjust the amount of perk points per lvl i recieve...I thought i read in its description that i would recieve 1/lvl, and 2 every 5th lvl.. at lvl 15, i still only have 14points..

So i wanted to ask, what exactly i input into the mod.. I did locate wqhere to do it, after reading from the mod page, but i do not want to screwe something up when doing it, so wanted to check heree first.

What i would like to do, is to get 1 perk per lvl, and 2 perks every 3rd, or every 5th lvl (whichever the mod/game allows)..

Thank you for yo-ur time, you guys are great! :)

The uncapper should do it for you, but if it isn't working as you'd expect, you need to modify that text file. I didn't change mine, but I did read about it in the readme.

First, I think you need to take some time and do some serious study on the mods you're adding to your game. After reading your two threads in this forum I'm getting the impression that you're in way over your head. You're leaving yourself open for serious troubles in the future if you do not know exactly what each and every mod does to your game.

That said, make sure you have enabled the perk feature in your SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini file. Many uncapper features are off by default. Changing a number will not do a thing in these cases. And the perks feature is one of these.

Open up your SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini. In the [General] section you will find this line: bUsePCLevelSkillExpMults=0. Change this line to bUsePCLevelSkillExpMults=1. (O means off; 1 means on). Now you can make your changes to the section further down in the .ini and the changes should take effect.

But, I stress again, please read all the documentation for all the mods you plan to use before you go any further. You will be doing both yourself and us a great favor.

Good luck. :smile:

Thank you for your help.. This is where i was looking, but got intimidated/scared by the texts, and was afraid of doing irreversable damage..So, ive once again returned here

And yes, in most of my threads, i make it very clear that i know little to NOTHING about anything related to modding, and rely heavily on help from you guys here, Youtube tutorials (usually Gopher), Nexus forums, and pay close attention and read the descriptions/readme to each mod before installing, or deciding not too..That said, i dont absorb information well by reading, and usually have to see it working (which is why i like gophers vids), or actually learn via hands on.. These last 3 mods have been the most involved, and why ive taken extra precaution before downloading them.. My wife understand this stuff, so i usually have her there to help.. I actually took me 2 weeks of this before actually going through with it..

I have made sure not to install any mod that may conflict with another, or share similar functions..I do appreciate your concern, and recognizing a complete tech bafoon when you see one :tongue: I think ive fina.ly gotten to where im happy with my mod as is, and dont plan on installing anymore.. After a few thousand hours of Skyrim, i was just wanting soemthing more in-depth, as i still enjoy playing it, but began feeling stagnated seeing the same quests being done the same ways numerous times..Im enjoying playing it via SkyRe and Frostfall thoroughly!

That can be set in the ini file for Uncapper. Here's block for it:

[PerksAtLevelUp];Set the number of perks gained at each level up. If a specific level is not specified then the closest lower level setting is used.;Default game value is one perk per level (you can also use float as value, for example 1.25 per points per level); Level (2..10000) = Perks (0..255);;In the following inactive commented example the player will gain 1 perk per level at and from level 2 to 9, then 2 perks per level at and from level 10 to 29,; then 4 perks per level at and from level 30 to 94, then no perk at all per level for level 95 and above;;2=1;10=2;30=4;95=0

All you do is uncomment them and change their level ranges.

So yours would be

1=1

3=2

4=1

6=2

7=1

9=2

Any combination you want.

I personally like just having:

1=1.2

Thats it, no other settings after it. This allows you to get 2 perks every 5 levels.
