Biography:
Zak gro-Straklon was born in Orsinium. His father was a decorated general who taught him about the history of Orsinium, Basic Combat, and Military Tactics. His mother was a more refined noble who taught him to value life's fineries, magic, and education.
He grew up in the footsteps of his father and became a highly regarded military figure do to his fierce combat prowess and brilliant military mind. However a life of war is not without its demons, and he developed a taste for tavern life and boozing. He likes to drink to forget about the losses of his comrades and other horrors of war.
As a result of this the women in his life were often courtesans or barmaids, and he does not desire any kind of stable relationship. He does respect women but he realizes that he is not the kind of orc that can settle down. Instead he drifts from village to village taken comforts in any woman he finds, particularly favoring the soft and petite characteristics of Bosmer maidens as they greatly contrast the women of Orsinium. However the Nord ladies are more familiar and easier to come by given where he spends his time.
He takes great delights in strange situations and has a markedly dark since of humor.
He collects and studies rare weapons and armors, and enjoys hunting and cooking wildlife over a fire in his leisure time.
Currently he is searching for a meaning to his live, which he has come to realize was all about survival till now, and now without a war to fight he is haunted by words an elder once spoke to him:
"Tools of the mind become burdens when the environment they were crafted in no longer exists.
HE IS... THE MOST INTERESTING ORC IN THE WORLD




Still open to backstory tweaks and suggestions/comments. Just wanted to post up with the full character developed.

Looks pretty good, nice backstory. One thing I don't understand is the Sneak major. All the other things make at least some sense for a powerful general, but Sneak? I'm not so sure.

Yea, it's all good here. I don't mean to be a grammar nazi but it's called "sense of humor" not "since of humor"

Also, puredragon has a valid point, the sneak skill seems rather ill-fitting. I know you can't change it now, but the character might have been suited to a different stealth skill. Perhaps Marksman? Maybe Speechcraft?

As a military man, and hunter, marksman would be useful. As a leader, he would need a good oratory skills.

Oh yeah and, the meaning of his life could be to finally find a woman he can settle down with and start a family of his own. I know you say he's not the type to settle down, but maybe all the time away from battle made something dawn upon his mind. He could finally decide to have children, raise them, and make them just like him.. Just my suggestion.

Sneak might make sense in the context of a hunter, as i doubt a hunter would go on a running frenzy after their preys, wielding Daedric War Hammers (unless she's a 4 foot tall sinny girl with anime hair, thongs and high heels).

BUt, since "He collects and studies rare weapons and armors", I dont see a heavy / light armour here... this would make more sense than a magic skill like conjuration.

I was thinking sneak as in ambush tactics, going behind enemy lines and wiping them out. Special Ops style military warfare. People forget that melee weapons get critical bonuses as well.

He doesnt have light and heavy armor because he enjoys them both. He has Armorer so that he knows how to work on both types of armor

He doesn't always drink wine, but when he does he drinks ??????

Finally some some love for the little wood elves! Do you believe it? Buffy was in Anvil and one of those Imperial pigs was talking about Bosmer women saying he would rather sleep with his horse!?! It made her cry. She is looking for a man who is not afraid of commitment though.

We hope Zak settles down and learns to deal with his demons.

Maybe Buffy should try out Beast (My character) for a while. So long as she doesn't mind dying afterwards as he's still a savage beast with no memory and, apparently, no moralities or education.

Doesn't Buffy have a fancy for Savlian Matius?

I think I actually created a pretty good character, non-committed to any particular quest path, reasons to do all of them, and a strong enough inner conflict to be interesting.

*sigh* Yes. Savlian is such a man, and Buffy is a bit smitten by him. The only problem is that he is so committed to Kvatch that Buffy wonders if there is room in his heart for a scrawny wood elf? There is also that gate thingy that kind of gets in the way as they tentatively dance around their feelings for each other.

Heh. Not trying to hijack Zak's thread, we were just pleased that his character likes wood elves.

I totally agree, Wood Elves need more respect! Don't hate on them, they're nice and pretty (... well, at least PC Wood Elves can be...) and good at stuff and and... :swear: Even Bethesda hates them, all annoying characters seem to be Wood Elves.
