Req: Savior's Hide add pants...

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 2:34 pm

I love the Savior's Hide armor! Its amazing, looks sixy and fits in with my whole theme of hunting down mythical creatures and having trophies of my kills.
The Savior's Hide is suppose to be the skin of a beast you kill, no spoilers, but when you wear it you have no pants on....you are completely pant less. I thought at
first it might be dark and the color of the pants are just brownish, but when I went outside..holy jesus it was all flesh.

SO! I am humbly requesting someone to use their magical modding skills and add some pants/armor texture to the lower part of Savior's Hide!

Thank you!

No one shares my passionate disgust at the pant less Savior's Hide Armor?

I haven't encountered it in my game yet, but I'll probably share your opinion once I get there.

Edit: Oh wait, my character is female. Maybe it won't be so bad after all. :hubbahubba:

I want pants! I don't like the cold wind blowing at my nether regions as I carry out the hunt!

Same here.
Thing is that I wear the same fur armor at lvl 18 which I wore at lvl 2, because it's the best looking thing ever (long sleeves). If only fur armor would be also available for smithing/upgrades I'd never ever wear anything else. Now I'm constantly switching between the above two armors. Look good vs armor rating

Not sure, but I think all the light armor are pant-less and sleeve-less. Most of the armors look silly and over-the-top and should be re-designed anyways.

I get cold just looking at the pictures of player characters--for such a cold region there's an awful lot of bare flesh. Bet they all have frostbite. Would love some pants plus leg wrappings and furry boots.

It just makes no sense why it would be missing pants! I mean, its actually weird to see my character to a finishing move, and instead of looking at the gore, I just cant help but notice the god forsaken skin texture.

I wear the same fur armor. However, you CAN upgrade the fur armor. At level 25-30ish smithing you can upgrade it to Superior and at level 65 you can upgrade it to Exquisite. I hear at level 100 smithing you can upgrade it to Flawless, but I haven't gotten there yet. You can not upgrade it to Epic/Legendary or whatever since those require you to have a perk in the material to get it that high (steel, elven, orc, etc).

Edit: OP, I agree 100% about that armor. Even though I would prefer it tighter around the collar so I can wear a bear helmet with it and have it look right, that is minor....I NEED pants. In a land so cold, all these armors make for many a dingleberry flapping in the wind.

I wholeheartedly support this. I find it ridiculous that so many sets of armor (for female, I haven't played male yet) don't have pants. I like to make believe that my character has enough common sense to put something on to protect her legs, especially in a frozen wasteland like Skyrim. It's like Bethesda took a page out of TESNexus's book.

Here's an image of the Stormcloak Officer armor. This is a complete set of armor.

I too would like a version of this armor that included pants. Can't wear it as it is.

The "Less is More" trope of female fantasy armour is hardly TESNexus's handiwork.

Not to mention they just host the mods-they don't make em. :P

I'm hoping when the CK comes out, we'll have the slots to split greaves and cuirases up OB style.

I'm in two minds about this.

There are many civilisations that didn't wear trousers (pants) until much later, if at all.

Greeks and Romans are obvious, but one could argue that they came from warmer climates. However, the Celts and Scots didn't wear them, and I'm not sure that the Vikings wore them either and, if they did, it was only a bit of cloth wrapped with leather twine that isn't going to prevent an arrow or sword slash.

I suspect leather trousers are a recent addition to preserve the modesty of Hollywood film stars.....

Saviors hide is different though,it looks as if you are not even wearing any type of a bottom to your armor at all unlike the others who have atleast have a skirted area.

Saviours hide needs pants .. Also the Stormcloak captains armor needs pants badly.. It looks ridiculous . Imperial armor needs some sort of leggings under it.. It looked horrible when the General was sitting down when I approached him. Saviours hide also needs a higher neckline for the men.

Nearly all the armour and clothing has places where skin shows when it really shouldn't.
I first noticed it on the leather armour, and it kinda ruined the armour for me. I wanted to feel like I was in a cold harsh environment and this just felt like I was a misplaced tourist.

I think a mod is needed that allows the wearing of "normal" or basic clothes under armour. Just a shirt and trousers.

Wrong. The Celts invented trousers; it's very difficult to ride horses in kilts, togas, or robes.

Why was need make combined lower and upper bodies for all equipment, why not make at last certain number of equipment separated, hope Skyrim will have unused body slots like Fallout 3 have so we can fix this with mods.

Well, the Savior's Hide was called "Cuirass of the Savior's Hide" in Morrowind where it first appeared so it kinda makes sense that it's only a cuirass without pants :P

Just picked this arte up and I'd have to agree "Savior's Hide My Pants" needs a tweak. No one wants to see my Orc bare that much leg, no one.
