REQ- tribal retexture

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 6:23 pm

I'd like to request a retexture of the male sorrow and/or dead horse body and face to remove the tribal markings, i like the textures much more on them (compared to vanilla) but the markings really bug me (i plan on using the textures for my character). Thank you for taking the time to read this, even if you don't have the skill to do this (or just don't want to).

So... what you're asking for... is the normal Caucasian/Hispanic/Asian/African American races... that already exist in the game?

This is actually ridiculously easy to do yourself. All you have to do is edit the races so that instead of pointing to the DLC textures, they point to the vanilla New Vegas ones, or change each individual NPC to be one race instead of another.

It's a perfect opportunity to learn how to use the GECK. Honestly, it's that easy.

you should probably look at the textures again, there is a HUGE difference, if it was as easy as playing a normal race, id do that, but the normal races skin looks cracked and disfigured, open the textures for tribals and Caucasian up in GIMP and you will see the difference, the tribal skin looks much smoother and done well. im really comfortable with the G.E.C.K. already and in the post i said i plan on using the texture for my character, so setting the tribals to look normal wouldnt do a single thing for me. Here is a comparison in GIMP.

Who-what now? I just did and I can see visible wrinkles in the tribal male faces that I do not see in the young advlt male face. They're even more prominent in the african-american faces. I see no difference in the female faces in terms of smoothness.

I have 20/10 eagle eyes and can see individual pixels on my screen a foot away. So it's not my eyes.

Sorry, by cracked i wasnt talking about the faces, i meant the hands at that part, the faces were what i meant were smoother, but overall the tribal textures just look better (in my opinion) and i havent looked at the female textures , i'll edit the first post to only say male textures (because thats all i play as anyway).

EDIT: Oh! sorry didn't even realize, by smoothness, i meant the textures looked smoother and cleaner (and not as rushed) not the actual skin lol.
