So, there are instruments in Skyrim and the Bards' college in Skyrim. I sure wish I could use the instruments somehow. If I could mix bits of music like MTV MUSIC GENERATOR use to do, write whole songs one note at a time, even have a whole band to play the songs I make, that would be amazing. Basic music-creation is what I would want to see. I doubt I'll get to see this, but it would be awesome and very appropriate.

Hell no, the bard's college was the worst idea EVER.

I don't know for DLC, but it sure sounds like the idea of a killer mod.

There are better and more expansive ideas for mods. I want a new area, not expansion on current guilds - if you can even call the Bard's College a guild.

Agreed, and expand the college, add more quests to it, and another area for some of the quests to take place in.

Eh they could have made Bard a skill.

Use an instrument and have it work like a spell school.
For Example:
Age of Aggression: Two (level scaled generic) Imperials fight for you for x amount of time/as long as the song plays.
The DragonBorn Comes: Reduces Shout time by x.
Etc.

Each instrument could offer a different benefit.
Lute: Song's effects last for 25% longer.
Drum: Songs are 25% more powerful
Flute: Songs are 25% faster to play/cast/prepare.
